Ughhh so boringgggg.
I was just sitting here in the morning on the bus, wide awake, but now I feel like it's late at night and I gotta go to bed.
Meh. House is crazy tho, sad the rest of the album wasn't as fire.
Also why TF is bjork not on the last song. Reheated food ahh song bro
Beautiful vocals and instrumentals throughout most of the album, specifically most of the 1st disc, but when getting to the second, everything just feels kinda of demo-ish (obviously, cuz some of them say demo), but why put demos on the regular version of this "album," if you can even call it that.... It's basically just a double EP.
cool I guess. But Joji fans must've hated that this was the final project from him until recently...
"Definition of mid," is what I would say, if I didn't think this album is... Really bad.
Joji making trash, over-hyped music as always.
Buns ahh interlude after buns ahh interlude. Gng what are we doing....
Buddy thought he was tame impala doing smth wit ts 🥀✌️
I'm listening to disc 1 in the morning, and then disc 2 in the afternoon....
My thoughts on disc 1 are ... Mostly positive, however so far I think Cole has fallen into the same trap as he did on KOD and the off-season, just some of the songs come off as very radio-friendly, made to be a hit, corny songs. But the writing is still impeccable (SAFETY top 5 Cole). The songs on the first half are somewhat mixed in terms of quality, but for how I think the first half is generally great. Later ... read more
Wow. This album was so incredible. J. Cole's 4th Studio Album, 4 Your Eyez Only, is dedicated to his late childhood friend, James McMillan Jr, a former drug dealer trying to change his life for his daughter, he dies at 22 (RIP). This album is J Cole's best. I said it. I know that most people would disagree, but this album is the closest Cole has gotten to a perfect album, from what I've heard.
Every single song is genuinely beautiful. I really love this album. Just listen to it! ... read more
I have never heard an idk album/mixtape before, so I didn't really know what he sounded like. But this was pretty cool. The features were mostly ok, but to have legends on here like DOOM, RZA, and DMX, just to give them small parts in the choruses, yes I know DMX and DOOM have passed, but I feel there most of been a posthumous verse available from DOOM.
Idk tho (pun intended), most of these songs were pretty cool. However, some of the choruses and just random lines from idk came off as ... read more
Ok. BEFORE READING: I am a huge fan of experimental and hardcore industrial hip-hop, but I have never heard a full injury reserve album. I had only heard their biggest couple songs. Alright, now onto the review:
I am not going to pretend I liked this at first. It took me about 5 Songs to start getting into it. Now, before you insult my ears for disliking this at first, please understand that when I listen to something for the first time, my ears must adjust. It was the same with jpegMafia, ... read more
Probably the most "rap caviar" Cole has ever sounded. But this was still a strong album. I just feel that a lot of the songs sound to similar and designed to be hits. Great album with some of the best production I have heard cole on in a long time. The features are ON POINTTTT, and cole's bars are great as usual.
BEST BEAT: the climb back
BEST FEAT: the bas choruses
FAVS: the climb back, 95 south, let go my hand
LEAST FAVS: amari, pride is the devil
An incredible journey from a legendary group. W return.
RIP PHIFE
HEAVY TPAB VIBES IMO BTW
*CUE HEAVENLY BEAT*
AYO, BRRRRRR
YOU EVER A BURGERS ON A WEDNESDAY? (GRR)
YOU EVER HAD CHICKEN ON A THURSDAY? (BOOM, DOOT, DOOT, DOOT)
YOU EVER TOOK 36 MINUTES OF TIME TO LISTEN TO STRAIGHT BANGERS? (GRISELDA)
Tuff. Brother Tom Sos' feature was actually good. So yeah... Best in the series fo sure
A significant difference improvement on the first HHE installment, whilst keeping the same theme, and aura around the project as a whole. Some great feats on this album such as, MIKE, the Griselda cuts, and Skyzoo. However, brother Tom sos' features, imo, take away from the album experience because they make the song sound like church pastors trying to make "hip-hop" when they've never heard it.
*Griselda-selda-selda-selda* This is a pretty cool EP of flexing, wsg ad-libs, and tuff beats
EDIT: LISTENING TO DON'T BE DUMB TITLE TRACK THROUGHOUT THE DAY MAKES ME REALIZE IT IS TOP 10 ROCKY SONG OAT
ITS BEEN 8 YEARS SINCE WE LAST HAD A ROCKY ALBUM.
Asap Rocky's grand return, Don't Be Dumb, released today.
And wow, he was not kidding when he said it would feel like moving through HARLEM with all the different genres and ideas through every song. This album, imo, did not disappoint at all!!! I think it was genuinely a great project. But I have a few critics: Whiskey ... read more
It's like if jpegmafia and MF DOOM made a collab album. Never heard an armand hammer album btw.
Lowkey some of the best jpegMafia production I've heard in a while. Oml 🔥🔥🔥
