Can you believe this fella will soon be enlisting? Gosh... But I'm sure stans of male k-pop singers are used to that. In every case, YOOK SUNGJAE's vocals are definitely one of my favorites in the genre. BTOB is not such a known group, but "YOOK O'clock" impressed me way much than I expected it to. "HMHN" stomps on half of the currently active BGs' discography, and "Chicken" holds the energy Kesha tried to reach in "The Potato Song (Cuz I Want To)". Trust ... read more

"Björk is AIDS music for people who like k-pop" - MothaOfMotha12
In all guilt and sorrow, I can't say my man is wrong. You see, after AleXa's "Do or Die" and SUHO's "Self-Portrait", what's left to praise in the genre this year until Apink comes back - assuming they'll release something better than "Percent"'s B-sides? Absolutely nothing.

Being more realistic, Björk is, with no doubt, one of the best "alarm artists". You know, those ... read more

Purple Beck is one of these rookies you just WANT them to succeed - but they never help us with that. No matter how much I cheer for them, knowing of what they can do, their agency will never let them release something that'll make the group unique in any way. "Starry Night" is not necessarily a bad release, the intro track is good enough, but the cheap synth vibes in "VALENTi" and Mr. Krabs' smallest violin (and piano) in "Tearful" are just... Tearful? Yeah.

An album I was very impressed by was Number Twelve Looks Like You's Wild Gods. A lot of people I've talked to about the album aren't as fond of it as I am, but I really do love the record's fusion of mathcore and jazz elements.

Hey, I have a song out! When you have the chance to, give it a listen. Haven't added it to AOTY yet, so here the YouTube music video link:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j5a0jTc9S10

I wrote this song and filmed the video while in quarantine. Took many inspirations from Chinese folk and alt-country. The concept of the video and song, I'll leave as a surprise (no spoilers of course), plus it's up to interpretation. Hope I can cheer some people up and get everyone together in these uncertain times, enjoy!
