I mean, for a summer album, this is totally fine and acceptable, you know. "Boogie Up" is 100% the best track here, even if I still don't think it fits the hype it had for it, but it's okay.

I don't know what to expect of a mixtape Grindr's Twitter account chose to share, neither of a mixtape that mixes Britney Spears, PC music and Kim Kardashian's ascension to fame, although I feel forced to say: This new vibe isn't "the future", it is what I call "technobad": You don't like this for being good, you like this for looking modern. But yeah, feel free to disagree, my beloved gays.

I'm still working on some college entrance exams, and while I do it, I wanted to give this a try, considering he's a former BROCKHAMPTON member. I mean, I'm still getting used to the "rap boy group" concept, as I would never imagine anything like it before signing up in AOTY.
I could imagine "Sunday Night"'s instrumental being played in a Sonic.exe fangame. Probably the track I've enjoyed the most, and Ameer Vann has a nice flow in his rap, but the songs overall weren't ... read more

DAB ON THESE HATERS. DAB ON THEM. DO IT. Get 'em, boi.

I won't say this album was different from what I've expected, as until this day that album cover creeps me out, although I want to clarify I did enjoy some tracks of "ARIZONA BABY". My main pet peeve goes around songs like "Mississippi", which I feel it ruined considerably the experience of listening to this project. Maybe it has to grow a bit more on me? Who knows.

*sigh* In the end of the day, I don't really think Pharrell will ever change. I could grab any of these songs from "G I R L" and switch with any from "In My Mind" and it wouldn't make a difference. The +5 in comparison is because of "Happy". Yeah, it was viral, it gets some points.

Did he purposely made all the intros sound really messy in order to "fix the beat" during the songs? It's so weird... At least I'm still following the critic score standard here. For real: For a producer like Pharrell Williams, this is really boring, and I've heard wonders about his work, even if I have no personal interest with it. "In My Mind" doesn't sound necessarily cheap, although it could use some spice.
And yeah, 10 featured artists distributed in 9 tracks of a total ... read more

Yeah, yeah, I love people. In fact, I love things people create with their love. Some people create products, recipes, and even other people! But one thing that always keeps me entertained, is my love for this kind of music. Maybe this is what I usually expect when I hear about a new Lana Del Rey or Grimes release, and even if I won't listen to this on a daily basis, I cannot deny I love the concept this album holds.
And yeah, yeah, the title track made me think my earphones were broken in the ... read more

Does anyone know why I can't really find this album anywhere OUTSIDE of YouTube? Not in Spotify, Apple Music who even cares, K2nblog's links being all broken, while also her "topic" channel empty... Is it because of any beef with JYPE I don't know about?
In every case, I like the intensity this album has. I DO feel the album is quite different from what I would expect Yeeun to sing, but again, even SUNMI had struggles with JYP's "style" during her solo debut single AND album ... read more

Okay, WHICH OF YOU made this album have so many featured artists? This should be a crime! I still find it really solid and underestimated, but how am I going to explain to someone "Loopy" and "AKASTON" are real people with an ACTUAL terrible vocal (considering I find male singers "acceptable" MAX)? Ugh.
This isn't your typical k-pop album, it is from a very small company, but Eyedi has an amazing voice, and I'll defend it nevertheless.

Well... This was a terrible choice of first album track. But yep, this album is nice, and it honors the "indie folk" concept, even if I still have no idea of the definition of "Neo-Psychedelia" or stuff like that.

"The most entertaining 90 minutes you could ever spend with a miserable rapper." - The Telegraph /// Good luck trying to make listen to 90 minutes of this.
OH, WAIT - I ALMOST WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO! First, the ENTIRE ALBUM is "YouTube Music Premium" exclusive. So rude, right? I still found a way to do it without ruining my scrobbles - ALTHOUGH some tracks are... Blocked in my country? At least the re-uploads of it.
I still managed to listen to every track of the album (not ... read more

The title track, by far, is one of their most perfect releases. The album itself is very rich and versatile - and honestly? Going edgy with "The Boys", and then bopping to "Lazy Girl", is just perfect, for real.

Continuing the "Diego goes outside of his bubble" saga, João recommended me this album in hopes I don't run from every glitch hop that appears in my way. I must say, "Bear" scared me a bit in terms of production, but songs like "Adore/Beautiful Boy", "There's a Unique Smell in the Pigpen" and "[Piano Interlude] >" weirdly made me smile. I don't know, maybe I'm too soft for smooth ... read more

João recommended me a glitch hop album to try, in order to show better releases than "All My Heroes Are Cornballs". I'll be sure to soon, but before that, after reading so many "vEtErAn Is BeTtEr", I HAD to listen to it.

Considering my english is still not 100% fine, I'll confess: I didn't understand at least 30% of the lyrics. I've listened to Sia's albums AND Tiffany Young's "Magnetic Moon", and that was actually acceptable - but in the end, it wouldn't ... read more

Today was the first time I've listened to a Cardi B album, not even joking. Nothing of her interests me, and she actually managed to be transphobic in a song I've heard about. If her entire album surrounded around "Get Up 10", things would have been nice! However, "Invasion of Privacy" sounds as bad as you can imagine, considering she's already being called "queen of rap" by her fans. Even I have to say she'll never surpass Nicki Minaj or Missy Elliott, and I don't ... read more

This is the kind of album people in 2011 would shove on your face by saying it was better than [insert a popular music genre here]. It feels really wholesome, even if I don't doubt it can be weaponized. I'm saying that mostly because people from outside won't listen to this in the radio and classify it as "Post-Punk", but as "Rock", you know.
Yeah, I enjoyed it.

"Soft Rock"? I thought this album was Country Pop!
I will say, this definitely was WAY different from what I had imagined when I saw the critic score. Don't get me wrong, but this really feels like a basic debut album. I'll be sure to check her other albums later, but MAN, it is so annoying when the instrumentals seem to have unbalanced strength when compared to the vocals. You know? Like TWICE's old japanese re-records, or Jessica's "Summer Storm". Oh, well.

OFF TOPIC: New ... read more

Look, don't get me wrong, I KNOW Poppy is intentionally creepy and weird (and nobody can prove me the opposite), but this doesn't suit her one single bit, and I can't believe this'll be on my "unpopular opinions" list. I swear I'm not doing this on purpose, but "CHOKE" really feels like an alternate world's version of LADYBABY's "Nippon manju" (which I still have to rate in my other account), and not in a good way. Maybe I'm just indirectly showing how old I am for ... read more

Sometimes I feel really dumb when I speak about vocals in hip-hop/rap albums. That's not usually the main focus, but I'm really used to listen to music and think on it automatically. Not every song has a message, but I'll still find a way to enjoy it, even if I don't understand everything they say. With that being said, "Psychodrama" is an album that actually interested me, different from most trap rap/experimental chaos released this year. "Black" and "Purple ... read more

"Poprosi U Oblakov" is soOoOO good! Funny story, I've first listened to the title track through Aida Nikolaychuk's cover in "X-Factor". She was so good, they made her sing acapella because they thought she was using playback. No joke, just search "aida nikolaychuk lullaby x factor" on YouTube, it's really cool.
Back to Polina, even if I'm not so familiar with russian music, this album always pleases me, even if mostly for a few brief listens.
