Great production, beautiful and thoughtful lyricism/poetry, however despite the vocals fitting thematically, they do leave a lot to be desired.
It is admirable that King Gizzard isn't afraid of doing something new, however their third and final record of October, despite being fun at times, mostly feels uninspired and doesn't offer much that is worth revisiting.
King Gizzard's first of three albums in October is a jazzy jam-session that is mostly a fun ride. Although it sometimes lacks ideas and feels a bit half-baked, it is undeniably a great listen all the way through.
Although some moments feel a little drawn out, it still is a fantastic, dreamlike, unpredictable adventure from front to back.
Kendrick Lamar once again proves that he is the greatest rapper alive with his newest album. Complex & personal, Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers shows Kendrick vulnerable and him wearing his heart on his sleeve, talking about issues that most rappers would never dare to even reference. As expected the production is also fantastic. An album that really grows on you the more you listen to it.
Although Jockstrap's debut isn't as fantastic as 2020's "Wicked City" EP, it's a strong, impressive and incredible ambitious album that seamlessly goes from one creative idea to another.
A warm, cozy collection of songs that explore different directions, most of those being fantastic. A long double album, but worth the entire runtime.
A fun post-punk album that not only slaps from start to finish, but also surprisingly features deep and thoughtful social commentary that compliments their silly style of delivery.
Fantastic record with a strong first half and a really good second half. Great vocals and instrumentals make this a lovely Radiohead side project.
On their 2nd album of their October run, the Aussies deliver an enjoyable 30-min jam session. Although their second installment of their Timeland series is fun and groovy, it leaves you with nothing special or something that we haven't heard from the band before.
Great production, but unfortunately very forgettable. Feels like Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino half-baked leftovers.
Breathtaking from start to finish on all leves. Albums like these only come once a decade. Amazing instrumentals and heartbreaking, clever lyrics. Just a masterfully crafted piece of art. Masterpiece.
