Kaytra's bouncy production serves as usual... Aminé rides the beats well enough. It's a fine record.
The soccer references are cute... other than that, bof. high ratings mostly due to the names involved.
Can't say I'm head over heels for this one but it's another W for Billy.
Been trying to get a feel for this record for weeks now... I don’t like it as much as "The Oracle", but it's an evocative and eclectic listen.
Cinematic, fantastic, and essential to all who want their music larger than life and rambunctious, Desire Marea's second solo outing is the kind of record that makes you glad to be alive.
I prefer this album to her last one tbh. Everything just sounds much tighter and more anthemic.
It's soothing and stunning at times for sure, but the record lacks dynamic depth... These songs all have the same tone, progression and whispery-sad vocals. The cumulative effect is a bit too uniform but I like what i'm hearing for the most part.
This is the place where techno and dream pop meets and yeah.... it's pretty riveting.
