not as strong and addictive as A Touch of the Beat... but a strong effort nonetheless. The production (as others here have said) is a little repetitive and a lot of the songs sound too similar to me, and too many of them are too slow and church-y for my liking. Only "With Love From" is a home run in my opinion, an absolute top-down-driving-through-Texas masterpiece.

this is far from her worst album but it's definitely a step down from Plastic Hearts. What I liked about it was the lyrics and her vocal performance; I'm glad she has finally found her vocal niche in grittier pop music. However, where the album falls short for me is the production. too much of it sounds inhibited, like it could have gone further and should have gone further but didn't go any further than a guitar and a piano. this is evident when you look at tracks like River and Muddy Feet ... read more
I think this isn't as strong as her EPs nor her debut, but is an improvement on New Skin. the production is a little smoother than on New Skin and the lyrics are really strong, emotive, and cohesive. Despite the stronger production on this album than on New Skin though, it still doesn't dazzle me as much as that on Somewhere in Between; too many songs sound too similar and don't start out strong enough to keep me interested until the end because half the song is just her singing over a piano. ... read more
INNA really just isn't doing it for me anymore. These generic, churned out dance tracks are incredibly generic, cheap, and unmemorable. The production is alright on most of them but they're far too short and the lyrics are just not good.
Super disappointed. I loved AMEIANOITE so much and had high hopes for this album, but it let me down in every way possible. Weak lyrics, uneven production, inconsistent vibe, way too short. A lot of the songs can’t decide what they want to be: a banger, a ballad, something in between.
Best tracks: AMEIANOITE, DESCONTROLADA (but not MC Carol’s garbage verse) Worst tracks: all the others
