i might just wait here for a little bit. let time pass.

Stay Inside - Ferried Away
89

I'm a simple person, if I hear someone relate an album to Origami Angel, I have to listen to it. This album 100% lives up to my expectations of 5th wave emo music. Being a huge fan of artists like glass beach, Weatherday, and Arcadia Grey, this is putting Stay Inside right up there with them. (ALSO THE TRUMPETS HELLLOOOO?? I love trumpets, this album is fire.)

- favs : An Invitation, Steeplecase, A Backyard, My Fault

Laucan & Samuel Organ - LORCAN
81

An epic blend of folk and electronica. There are very few artists whose music makes me feel the way listening to Hailaker does, but damn this was the closest I've gotten. Their use of layered vocals and huge instrumental builds go crazy. Each song sounds different from the last, yet they fit seamlessly into one another - an all-around solid folktronica album.

- favs : Neither Here nor There, Keeping My Head Down, Blood & Time

Ziggy 2000 - Needles
85

NEW ZIGGY 2000 EP DROPPED WHO UP???? I love girl music so much, she cooked.

- favs : Used To It!!!!!!!!!!!

Reno - Dying in the house you call home
84

Quadeca is very quickly becoming one of my most listened to artists. It took me embarrassingly long to figure out that this account is full of unreleased songs by him. Thank you reno for your service!

- favs : This is the start, drowning/sinking, Your final seconds of living, When your breath stops

Mom Jeans. - best buds
88

one of the OG midwest emo albums. If I die pls play the mashup of Modern Baseball's Tears Over Beers + Mom Jean's Scott Pilgrim vs. My GPA at my funeral <3

- favs : Edward 40hands, Scott Pilgrim vs. My GPA, Girl Scout Cookies

Fieves - Between Hello & Goodbye
69

british rap is easily the silliest genre of music, but I can't even lie, this is fire. this is the perfect album to turn my mind off and chill for 20 minutes. I'm excited to see how their music grows in the future, both technically and lyrically. There's a lot of potential here!

- favs : Steps, Million Faces,

Mort Garson - Mother Earth's Plantasia
86

this is the freaking coolest album ever. I need this sound injected into my veins. did think that I was going a little bit crazy b/c I hear so much oot Zelda in here, but tons of other people agree so I guess I'm just really awesome and cool.

- favs : Baby's Tears Blues, Plantasia, Rhapsody In Green, You Don't Have to Walk a Begonia

Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin
89

Blues and Rock how I adore you so!!! This entire album sounds like my childhood, every time I hear these songs it's like I'm 6 years old again. It's wild how much they nailed their signature sound in just their DEBUT album alone. The lyrics and overarching messages from the songs are mostly forgettable in my opinion, but damn do they know how to play music.

- favs : Dazed and Confused, Babe I'm Gonna Leave You, Good Times Bad Times

Ziggy 2000 - Obvious
93

INCREDIBLE EP. The album art, the song concepts, her sound. RAHHHHHH I can't write a review that does this ep enough justice. I don't want to compare her to other female bedroom-pop artists because she has such an original sound, but if you're a fan of artists like beabadoobee, clairo, soccer mommy, etc, you will LOVE this.

- favs : Obvious, Doobie

If you've ever felt miserable and spent extended periods of time contemplating your existence and meaning on this planet, this is the album for you! This is like if Flatsound and Swans got married and lived a long happy life together, but one of them developed Alzheimer's and slowly withered away leaving the other to grieve what once was. aka..... this is a perfect album. no cons, no notes, no complaints. They put the idea of 'what is the point' to music and created one of the best-sounding ... read more

scruffpuppie - Zombie Boy
88

i love reminiscing about being 14 and sad!!!! ppl be wondering why they were miserable as kids but their playlists had scruffpuppie, salvia palth, fog lake, flatsound, german error message, and dandelion hands...... anyway I still love this album dearly.

- favs : Sleep, Affection, An Art Gallery Could Never Be as Meaningful as You, Wine

Krooked Kings - Shiver
83

This album has that classic indie summer rock sound that you can never go wrong with, I've had this album on repeat for weeks since it was released. Catacombs might very well be in my top 5 favourite songs of the year. On top of that, they are such a fun band to see live!!!!! I couldn't understand half of the words they were saying but damn, it sounded FIRE. Very very excited for any music they'll release in the future :)
+ sick drummer, he needs a solo pls

- favs : Catacombs, Headhunters, On ... read more

Harry Styles - Harry Styles
88

Two Ghosts and Sweet Creature are still to this day my favourite Harry Styles songs ever. I was shoulders deep into one direction as a kid, so his music will always be near and dear to my <3

- favs : Two Ghosts, Sweet Creature, From the Dining Table

Quadeca - SCRAPYARD
90

These 'scraps' are some of the best songs to come out all year - not overhyped or overrated in the slightest.

- favs : TEXAS BLUE, PRETTY PRIVILEGE, DUSTCUTTER, GUIDE DOG
86 -> 90 fire album.

Current Joys - Voyager
90

Though A Different Age is one of my favourite albums of all time, Voyager is Current Joys best record to date. This album is vulnerable, raw, and IMO the best Nick Rattigan's vocals have ever sounded. This review is absolutely entirely biased because I'm a Current Joys dickrider, but I genuinely adore this album.

- favs : Shivers, Voyager Pt 1, American Honey, The Spirit or the Curse

idk why everyone hates my favourite ones but I'm just going to use that to fuel my superiority complex.

Kitty Craft - Beats and Breaks from the Flower Patch
84

never in my life have I so badly wanted to be a cat frolicking in a field!!!! this album connects jazz and rap in a way I've only seen nujabes do right. fire album. shoutout to all the cats out there.

- favs : Mama's Lamp, Alright, When Fortune Smiles, Locked Groove

Ezra Glatt - Pathways
84

If August were an album, this would be it. Reminiscing the warmth of summer as it slowly fades away, but as a metaphor for childhood!!!!!!!!! Insane. Twilight Of Youth got me fucked up. The guitar and piano go so crazy. Ezra has such a similar sound to Sufjan Stevens in a really refreshing way. I'm obsessed. (Pathways????? Insane song.)

- favs : Pathways, Dust, Twilight Of Youth

girlpuppy - Swan
81

girlpuppy has such a distinct voice that I have fallen completely in love with. Finding her album, 'When I'm Alone' in my local record store blew my mind because in what world is she popular enough to be in my local record store??? (not that I'm complaining). Anyway, solid ep. In my opinion, it doesn't stand out much from the rest of her work; but I am still a fan of the songs on it! Very, very excited to see what she does in the future :)

- favs : Miniature Furniture, Hideout

Vian Izak - The Navigator
82

I don't know where to begin explaining this album. As a kid I grew up listening to artists like Jack Stauber, Porter Robinson, The Amazing Devil, Fish In A Birdcage, etc. They all have such distinct sounds, but share a general similarity in that they're SO unique. No genre fits this album, at least not one I'm aware has been labelled yet. Regardless, I'm a huuuge fan of whatever electronic pop thing is going on here.

- favs : As You Healed / The Guide, Call the Nightingale, Threw the Stone
