I feel crushed everytime I listen to Desertshore. There's so much despair and otherworldliness in Nico's voice, and honestly right from the majestic Janitor of Lunacy and the larger than life harmonium I was crying..... One of the most powerful albums ever....

Jun Togawa might have one of the craziest voices I've ever heard, she's so unpredictable in her vocal style, going from cute singing to opera style through punk screams, and she's so real for this. The instrumentals are as unpredictable, it's pure goofiness and quirkiness, and Jun still evokes some daring matters for Japanese society of the time, such as telling the tale of a princess having her menstruations on the day of a red moon or a teenage girl turning into a dragon fly.

Was initially very mixed on this, but I don't know if it has to do with the strong bias I have for Slowdive, but other listens reveal the beauty of everything is alive. Slowdive is the epitome of my comfort band, their music supports me in a lot of moments of my life, and one thing I love about them is the easiness to get lost in their music. It's been one year since I first listened to this mixtape and I can't get enough of it, I just love this kind of dirty slutty slayyyyying pop music, which remains creative and so ear-catchy.
