Yung Lean discography dive #5:
Yung Lean returns to his more normal coud rap sound after his much more experimental album: Warlord.
And even though I loved warlord I do think it's nice to hear him do more traditional cloud rap again.
So the production and lyrics are much more lighthearted than his pretty dark sounding (both lyric and production wise) Warlord.
The features are all pretty good but, A$AP Ferg definitely has the best one. Crystal City (the track where Ferg is on) is a really great highlight of the mixtape. The production is great, Yung Lean sounds really good and Ferg is really good on this track too.
Hennessy & Sailor Moon is a really lighthearted track with great production, a really good Bladee feature and pretty cute lyrics; especially when compared to the lyrics on Warlord.
The album ends a bit weaker then it begins. The last three tracks are good but they are a bit weaker then the majority of the first five songs.
Overall Yung Lean makes a great return to his more normal cloud rap sound.
