Igor is by far my favourite album ever made, and it singlehandedly built the foundation of my current musical taste: to say it's important to me would honestly be an understatement. Igor is a flawless album to me, with not a single skip or bad song on it, and it's still one of the few albums to hold that feat for me. It perfectly embodies the idea and feeling of love, with each track depicting a different aspect of it, from denial to hatred to regret and so on. It's also just a ... read more
It's easily Baby Keem at his most personal and methodical, following a five year gap that clearly allowed him to grow and redefine his style. The production is beautiful and has some creative uses of iconic beats alongside self produced ones, and he flows over all of them rather effortlessly, just with a voice that's rather hit or miss for me. What I'm wanting to say is that I really miss the more energetic and hyper sound of his previous works, and while we get moments that ... read more

Honestly on the first couple of listens I wasn't sold, and was even rather disappointed with the project, as it didn't feel sonically consistent. After all, it's been a long time since Rocky's last album and a lot's changed in both his life and sound, and I've come to appreciate that the album reflects this wonderfully. One of the most fresh sounding albums of the year, taking Tecca inspired beats and those smooth album transitions, and mixing them with rage inspired vocals. It's honestly one of the most interesting projects of the year and one I wish I found sooner, because it's right up my alley in terms of production and vocals. Will defo be checking out his other works.
Honestly wasn't planning on listening to this, but I'm really glad I did. Has that old school rhythm mixed with some classic production to make a pretty great album, although there defo are some misses here and there. Don't have a lot to say on this beyond that it was a solid listen, so that was cool.
I remember someone comparing 21 Savage as a rapper to chicken: great when given a starring role on a song or when elevated by a great feature, but by himself is a bland and uninspired rapper. I used to think this was pretty harsh, given that he's always had a couple standout performances and production on each album, but it's beyond true here. Since listening to it on Sunday I genuinely don't remember a single song, besides the god awful Latto feature. Completely forgettable and ... read more
