The production, mixing and writing is very well done, even if it is the safest thing ever released by porter. I imagine this as being the next stepping stone in porters career after his vocal works in nurture, where he’s come to embrace his natural singing voice in perfect tandem with the huge undergoing of working with riot games. I’ll admit it, I wasn’t really (that) excited for this album. Kanye, as much as I respect a lot of his discography, doesn’t really appeal to my everyday taste in music. But the general hype from around the internet and my friends was enough to bring me to listen to the entire hour and forty minutes on offer. Donda is literally featured on every second Instagram story right now.

just saw your comment on my 2023 ranking regarding my oxidized archive rating. i can definitely see the appeal! i just think it's too boring and one-dimensional for me to want to return to it.
