Some absolute bangers on here but some duds too. Interludes were all spitting facts tho, love the message

Friko - Something Worth Waiting For
65

Truly pales in comparison to their fantastic debut record from 2024. Friko are best when they're loud, when their cathartic anthems feel like they can fill stadia. Here, we get a few glimpses of that with the title track, Seven Degrees, and Choo Choo, but the quiet, drawn-out songs just don't hit nearly as hard as they did on the last album. It's almost like they saw all of the Cameron Winter buzz and decided they had to throw in a couple of slow, poetic piano ballads because ... read more

23 minutes of “Tongue Tied” by Grouplove and “Sleepyhead” by Passion Pit impressions. Not bad, just entirely unoriginal

My New Band Believe - My New Band Believe
71

I want to LOVE this, but i honestly dont think it raises the bar at all compared to a lot of the great Windmill music that has come out over the last decade or so. Choir is great and I loved seeing all of those names in the credits, but i just dont care for Cameron Picton much.

George Clanton - 100% Electronica

On The Belair Lip Bombs - Again
"@Kingzor Must listen to the debut! I strongly prefer that one but this new record is definitely more poppy and sharply produced. I really liked the heavier post-punk guitar and Maisie’s word-slurring delivery on the last album."
On cappyk's review of Porches - Je t'aime
"@cappyk fr i’ve been listening on repeat since it came out. also i just found out it’s a reissue from 2011. holds up perfectly i woulda believed it was from 2025"
On cappyk's review of Porches - Je t'aime
"I agree on every level. Je T’aime is one of the best songs of the year. His emotional turmoil saying “Je T’aime and I don’t care” is mirrored by the dense and cacophonous production. Truly beautiful"
