AOTY 2023
Maroon 5 - Red Pill Blues
Nov 4, 2017

Another release, another cringeworthy work from Marron 5, now working with no less than seven members in their formation, but still relying on gimmicky electronics above all else. Although Red Pill Blues promised to deliver some sort of transition in the seasoned band's career, the reason for their core change only gets clear on the final, eleven-minute track "Closure" - which is the only really interesting point in the album, although it only made it in the tracklisting as a pale attempt of proving a point. At the heart of this album lies the one and only Adam Levine, always making the questionable choices and making little to no use of his bandmates' qualities - or are they hired technicians for a fixing problem at home only?
