Ulver - The Assassination Of Julius Caesar
Nov 16, 2017
85
The once black metal outfit Ulver continue their eclectic career with an absorbing synthpop inspired sound for their eleventh studio album. Accompanying the oversaturated synthpop revival, Ulver constructs a refreshing melancholic atmosphere comparable to Depeche Mode's take on the genre. The Assassination of Julius Caesar may not be Ulver's most experimental release but it is an enjoyable record—proving again that they're able to adapt to any style they please with ease.
