The White Stripes - Elephant

pros: raw, vivacious and intense; Elephant is an album that's filled to the brim with energetic and rebellious styles of music and technicality, from the vibrant and electric guitar to the playful nature of the lyrics, it's a fun blast that focuses primarily on creating a passionate force of liveliness; it's minimalistic as well in the sense that it has a cohesive idea and theme and sticks throughout it and establishes it very well, it remains consistent, melodic and romantic; the energy, character and personality of this record is strong enough to be impactful and brings a voice of it's own, in that sense the album really speaks for itself and translates it's messages quite good.
cons: could've used more variety instead of sticking to the same form of style or similar versions of it, i felt some of the tracks were just renditions of former tracks and didn't have a personality or energy of its own but just grabbing it from others.
overall: Elephant by The White Stripes is aggressive, noisy with a charming and colorful energy brought to the mix; the instrumentals are riotous and bring a high level of fun to it, it can however feel repetitive or tedious with the songs having a similar energy, but that specific energy is done so well that it never gets annoying, a highly recommend album for sure.
