While it's not perfect, Hell Songs show's Daughters really finding their own sound, instead of what seemed like a desperate attemt at mimicing The Locust with their last LP. Their screeching and disorienting guitarwork, and booming drums are still present in tenfold, but this lp is heavier, more sinister and well, more hellish.
Hell Songs is just as wild as Canada Songs, but it's more of a slow burn than a punch in the gut this time.
