Kendrick Lamar - To Pimp a Butterfly

Nothing else to add that hasn't been said already, don't think I need to explain lol

Panchiko - D>E>A>T>H>M>E>T>A>L

I AM SO GLAD THAT SOME RANDOM DUDE FOUND THIS CD, OMG

Yeah, it's a great album lol. Only track that didn't speak to me was The Eyes of Ibad (ignoring the og rotted versions), rest of the tracks are so good. The instrumentaion and production on here is just immaculate.

MGMT - Loss of Life
71

A very good project imo, and left an impression on me. I feel like MGMT are at some of their most creative peaks here with both their style, sound and lyricism. However, some of the songs on here just weren't for me or didn't strike me in a way that some of the other songs on here did (the singles leading up to this project were great).

Pixies - Doolittle
88

There is not a single skip on the album. Each track's length is perfect as they are kept short and snappy, maintaining a very easy replayability to them. The sound and influence that this album had too can not be understated. The only gripe that I could pick at is the fact there's a lack of diversity in the sound of each of the tracks. But even with that, for what the album is, all the songs on here go hard and the band can be seen at there peak.

The Cure - Disintegration
70

Going into this album, I had high expectations because of the two songs I already knew before that point, those being Lovesong and Lulluaby (which both slap icl). And although the album did not live up to the hype as much as I thought it would, it offered a different experience to me instead. A lush and dreamy soundscape that you can't help being sucked into, especially towards the middle of the LP. However, I found a number of tracks to be drawn out and boring while others achieved exactly ... read more

WILLOW - empathogen

Willow showcases what she can acheive when she adapts a style and vibe that fits her unlike anything else she has done before. This sonically unique and ambitious album uses strange time signatures, chords and progressions, as Willow takes an opportunity to flex her musical knowledge and experience. Although some of the songs here do feel unfinished or like they could benefit with something else to them, the songs here that hit hit.

Limp Bizkit - Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water

With repetitive instrumentals, passible vocals and lyrics that leave much to be desired, some of the songs on here do have some merit to them, but overall this is nothing outstanding or even really that good to begin with.

Nothing But Thieves - Dead Club City

The new sound NBT has made for this new album really fits well and is a pleasantly welcoming new side of what the band has to offer. It's good to see the band try something different and introduce us to a more electronically driven album which turns out great, creating an album which will be one of my overall favourites from the band.

Radiohead - OK Computer
100

Sonically this album is amazing. Every song creates an atmosphere which you find yourself being immersed in, the mood and engagement of Radiohead's sound being perfected here. The lyricism and themes here are also deep and accurate to the portrayal of modern life, and every song stands out in its own right whether it be the sound provided or the messages and mood the song presents. There is nothing I can say about this album that hasn't been said already as it is recognised as Radiohead's ... read more

Nothing But Thieves - Welcome To The DCC

I like the seemingly new direction the band is taking their style for the new album, this song being a great showcase of that.

The Weeknd - Double Fantasy

Good song all around, love the production and instrumentation, especially leading up to the beat drop at the start.

Brent Faiyaz - WASTELAND

An LP with a strong start and end in my opinion with moments throughout feeling either just decent, lackluster or bland at times, especially places in the middle. There is not much that really stands out in the album except for the story it is trying to execute, and for how dire and sad the story is, the songs do not fit the vibe or have the urgency required to properly convey it; rather the story is shown most clearly in the rather enjoyable, dramatic skits. Although, all this being said, most ... read more

I audibly laughed and felt very confused and kind of scared during this experience. Very enjoyable experience, would reccomend.

Travis Scott - ASTROWORLD
85

This album showcases psychedelic hip hop at its finest. Scott assembles together a hype group of features and executes the album well from start to finish. Rarely were there moments when I felt as though the album was lacking in quality, although a couple of the songs didn't stand out to me much or felt like they were missing something. Even great tracks such 'SKELETONS' felt like they were maybe incomplete in some way or other and possibly needed more time to fully flesh out the ideas in the ... read more

Hotel Ugly - Ugly Duck

An easy and enjoyable listen. The vibes here are on point in this mellow and chill debut album. I enjoyed every track except for the first one which I thought was a bit bland, and I'll admit the album did feel repetitive towards the end, but only slightly and I didn't have a problem with it. The LP doesn't do anything out of the ordinary and keeps things simple to provide a solid listen that I'll find myself chilling and studying to.

d4vd - Sleep Well

His potential grows more evident with each single. I like the inclusion of the saxophone.

d4vd - Placebo Effect

Atmospheric song but still feels it's underwhelming at times for what the song is trying to acheive.

d4vd - WORTHLESS

Love the chord progression in the guitar, good song.

Tyler, The Creator - CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST
89

Very solid album. Tyler is throwing all sorts of songs into this project and obviously having fun doing so. It is admirable to see that he is doing what he wants and succeeding greatly while doing so. Some bangers in here and only a couple of songs that didn't stand out much to me. The production and mixing present in this album displays Tyler's capabilities and skill as a musician and producer at its finest. A must listen to album for Tyler fans.

Tyler, The Creator - CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST: The Estate Sale
94

Arguably the songs added here are generally of better quality compared to what is in the original album, and that is saying something. Even Tyler's left overs are undeniable bops that prove that Tyler has something special to continue to uphold the quality he has been providing these past few years.
