NOPE. 💩

Normally, I try to give unbiased reviews that are short and direct despite how I feel about an artist, but nope, not for this one.

I swear that if it wasn't for the Barbz, who are essentially a cult worshiping the ground that Nicki walks on, she would have no reason to continually release lame ass music as if she was still the most talented or exciting woman in rap.

Nicki's music has seemingly lost all intent except to remind us that she's still around as the "queen" of ... read more

Big Dick Energy is a great track showcasing the continuous evolution of Rico Nasty, as she abandons airy production, lukewarm lyricism and a somewhat off-putting delivery, and approaches a more refined and assertive sound.

Rico's wit and energized flow are her greatest strengths and BDE, as well as her more recent works, serve as a prelude for what's to come with her next full-length release, in which she will truly establish herself as an artist.

Brandon Banks is a great project, providing a balanced mix of subtle yet sharply produced tracks, along with dynamically energized selections, to dilute the project's generally monochromatic and distressing tone.

WILLOW is a fairly good project, providing gentle neo soul sounds paired with minor elements of soft rock and folk, as well as a brief inclusion of trap. The production is fluidly mixed, finely fusing various strings, percussion and other instrumentals without abstracting from the unique precision of Willow's vocals. Additionally, Willow's lyricism has significantly improved from her pervious projects, becoming less juvenile and more conscious and approachable.

Gone is a good track, faulted by its bland production, yet regardlessly made buoyant due to great performances by Charli and Christine and the Queens.

Charli's lyricism is exactly what you would expect from a mainstream pop star, simple and generic, however her sharp-cut vocals and distinct characterization, mostly abstract herself from these issues. On the other hand, Christine's lyrics are well-written and her delivery provides the same energized satisfaction as Charli's.
