I love how the bars feel like confessions, sometimes spat in your face, sometimes whispered. It’s this constant play between power, intimacy, and vulnerability that creates flawless narrative flow, with a sound structure that builds and unravels in perfect sync.
This is pure cinematography!

when i say that music should be able to create alternative worlds that mirror an imaginary reality, this is the sort of thing I have in mind.

questa trasposizione di un mondo onirico nel panorama indie appare come una ripetizione un po’ annacquata dell’idea musicale ben contestualizzata nel progetto di joan thiele. tuttavia, molto apprezzabili sono i featuring (tranne quello con tony boy) e forte rimane la riconoscibilità della penna di frah. sicuramente manca quella indelebilità, quella forza da hit maker alternativo che ha saputo essere in passato.

It’s definitely a project that Travis might like, and therefore it’s not exceptional. On a sound level, there are many references to the past: George Michael obviously, but also Fleetwood Mac and the Jackson 5. I find the productions very interesting, especially Shellback’s bass lines and the instrumentals that lean more toward pop rock.

Very enjoyable, especially kudos to the funk motifs that embellish this 80s pop version of Doja.

How did a group of eleven year old friends manage to do this?! Lo-fi, repetitive lyrics, childish vocals, yet somehow it all creates a certain charm, hinting at that musical vein that today features artists like Smerz and Coco & Clair Clair.

This indie rock release straight from Japan is a pleasant discovery. The guitars are awesome!

i temi dell’album mi hanno richiamato subito alla mente quello di fibra. situazione familiare, sociale e introspettiva, la penna di ernia mi è risultata in alcune canzoni superiore. ma qui il problema di fondo è il non riconoscimento di un problema: ossia il non saper cantare.

There’s a tangible uniqueness to what Lola Young offers musically, but somehow she still feels like a diamond in the rough.

They were trying to recreate a specific aesthetic, and I think they pulled it off. In some tracks, they strongly evoke that 70s Fleetwood Mac rock sound, reworked in a more modern style that also aligns with Finneas’s solo project.
Curiously, the album’s cover replicates that of Buckingham Nicks (1973), which, on the very same day, has been released on digital platforms for the first time.

mi stavo ascoltando la discografia di pino in ordine cronologico e non so, questo album ha un qualcosa in più, o forse il blues rende meglio con una bella giornata di sole.

This lazy bedroom pop keeps drawing me in. Maybe it’s the weakest of her works in terms of vocal production and dynamic structure, but there’s a soul beneath it and a depth in her writing that turn imperfection into something pure; a simplicity in which it’s just as easy to recognize yourself.

For me, this is one of 2025’s most underrated albums.
I’m writing this review so anyone who missed it and feels like giving it a listen can catch up.

The movie they made for this album is incredible. The music itself is already evocative, but the correspondence they created with the visual art perfectly fuels the underlying concept of the project. The deeper i go into this band, the less i find anything wrong with them.

It’s a pure and fleeting kind of loving and being loved, an embracing serenity, a disarming devotion, but also a fragile closeness and a goodbye that tastes of salty air.
