Ridiculously underappreciated album. I guess due to their abrupt shift in style: those who were into Ulver during their "black metal" stretch were probably baffled by the change of their music and gave it extremely low rating, but those who got into Ulver during their "electronic" years I'm sure still consider it one of the best electronic albums as I do.
It's all about cold, calculated mechanical sound that sends hypnotic pulses to your brain. Absolutely stripped of everything human. Flawlessly organised, systematic. In other words, it's a perfect album for a modern-time person. An album that we, as modern society, deserve. I love it.
