EDIT: ok, there really isn't a ton of substance or character to this album compared to what Gorillaz has in the older end of their discography. Some great tunes are on Plastic Beach, but it is not nearly what I believed it was.

ive found this record to be a bit better than its predecessor, demon days. plastic beach is one of the most cohesive albums i have ever listened to. it has everything i could want in an album of this caliber. near masterpiece quality.
plastic beach is definitely one of the better "group" records of the decade. so many artists worked on this, it was amazing how they all made such a unique variety of music. from mos def to lou reed, there were greats of multiple genres and generations. there was a much more dominant electronic aspect on this project than there was on demon days, and it was altered in many very original ways to complement the artists on the given track. gorillaz truly is a band that can bring together fans of ALL types of music.
fav tracks: superfast jellyfish, some kind of nature, empire ants, glitter freeze, on melancholy hill (standout, perfect song)
