Geordie Greep - The New Sound
92

YOUR PUSSY IS HOLYYY

74

When i think of a genre blend with rock this is what presumably would come out, cool guitar and drums those kinda rustic vocals feel right

Jeff Buckley - Grace
95

Men who yearn are men who earn ahh album, i can’t believe i waited this long to experience greatness everything from his voice, instrumentals, lyrics are beautiful Jeff buckley the man you are oh oh OH YOU JUST HAD SUCH A GRASP ON WHAT LIFE WAS AHAHHHH WHYD YOU DIEE WE WERE ROBBED PEOPLE ROBBED I SAY

Gorillaz - Demon Days
80

i know the guy from blur made this and it sounds prettyy pretty gewd so ya + doom on this ho

Breakup Shoes - Unrequited Love (& other clichés)
67

Enjoyed the relatable and portrayal of love, lyrics were direct and the indie alternative instrumentals were cool plus it kinda feed into my delusions lalalalala

Jesu - Jesu
50

Didn’t really resonate with me and i’m not even done with it, personally it wasn’t captivating enough and felt like a chore to listen to buttt i can appreciate the genre blend of slow metal, shoegaze, and ambience i don’t think the guitar tones did this album justice

Miles Davis - Kind of Blue
90

As my first jazz album this is pretty much what i think of when trying to audiolise the genre that being said the rating my be a bit higher the more i listen to it

Radiohead - In Rainbows
100

listened to this for the first time on vinyl a while back and i fell in love with the melodic instrumentals played with multiple instrument’s. All to unify and represent human emotion through the pop and upbeat songs at the start of the album which to me felt the same as when i first meet someone special, that initial “spark” you feel is the pop in the first 2 tracks. The frankness that rolls over of human connection is something that really resonates

Godspeed You! Black Emperor - "NO TITLE AS OF 13 FEBRUARY 2024 28,340 DEAD"
90

All the instrumentals in this album were extremely captivating and deserving of their title, being able to capture such a volatile and morbid moment in todays world with no words is extremely impressive

The Internet - Feel Good
75

syd the dude really cooked loved the bass line and guitars on the instrumental complimented her voice amazingly, sadly didn’t seem to have any direction to me it seemed like a bunch of songs put tg/ lack of structure or idea

Bad Bunny - DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS
75

Benito threw down with this, really made me feel like i was spending an entire day in puerto rico with some family, to mornings at the beach going out for lunch then clubbing at night it encapsulated that pretty accurately by blending different puerto rican styles of music into this album. Unfortunately other songs brought this down and some features genuinely weren’t needed nonetheless it felt nostalgic to me and a hispanic

Cocteau Twins - Heaven or Las Vegas
90

this album is the embodiment of being naked to me and i can’t explain it

Elliott Smith - Either/Or
85

i definitely didn’t understand this album when i first listened to it but it has definitely started to grow on me and will continue to do so with more listens. Loved how cohesive this project was an addiction to how human it felt with Elliott’s heartfelt guitar playing and lyricism the mixing is very unique in that i feel like he’s speaking to me directly

MAVI - Let the Sun Talk
69

slid on some tracks but others sounded kinda dull hopefully he’s improved off of this

Mac Miller - Balloonerism
85

First proper introduction to mac and it definitely made an impact

Som Imaginário - Matança do Porco
83

Kanye somehow led me to this

Earl Sweatshirt & The Alchemist - Voir Dire
82

with this being his most recent project to date i love how his ingenuity continues to shine, really had to sit through the lyrics a couple times to understand what he was saying. Will always love his rhythmic and monotone voice that still pops on the alchemist’s beat that has Earl rapping on more “traditional” rap beats coupled with samples on some tracks which add a lil kick.

KIDS SEE GHOSTS - KIDS SEE GHOSTS
70

I love the high production and almost hypnotic atmosphere that Cudi introduces with his dreamy vocals bringing in hints of psychedelia, that’s then mashed together with Kanye’s rapping which creates this sort of spark in the project that harmonize with each other very well however certain elements could be done better, the beginning and end of the album are weak but the middle keeps its core. nonetheless i do feel like i might be messing something here and will have this on replay.

Big Thief - Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe In You
90

As my first proper introduction to kenner’s song writing i love how she captured the existential cycle life puts us through within the confines of societal restrictions based on lovers, social media, or even your personal perspective and the “pain” or “fear” you have to push past to find your true self. In combination with her soft yet crunchy voice makes for an album that evokes one’s hay wired thought process beautifully.

beabadoobee - This Is How Tomorrow Moves
72

I LOVE BEA and this album was solid it had a couple good tracks with rlly catchy and cute lyrics that exhibit the triumphs of love a young girl, wether it’s the mistake of choosing to give the wrong guy another chance or a harsh break up she knows how the current youth may relate to her love stories and sets that theme fourth with this LP
