Cute little pop album with cringey lyrics and bland production. I really liked bye bye, but a lot of this just falls into the background.
A masterful blend of indie and electronic music. These lyrics are true poetry; some of it hits me hard and some of it doesn’t mean much to me.
Kind of how I feel about this track list, about half of these evoke emotion in me and give me goosebumps and the other half is like a cool art piece.
I don’t come back to most of these songs other than 33 and 29: my two favorites by a long shot.
Bon iver is a true master at what he does.
Some great song ideas, fun energy, amazing riffs and moments of genuine excitement. I liked it but it wasn’t anything too special for me, just a cool little album
I was really into the first 7 songs, there were moments I didn’t like but for the most part I was engaged, impressed and having fun. With some really touching lyrics, cool instrumental bits and unique ideas (like the song about bullying)
Then when the laughter stops completely lost me. Grifters grief left me feeling really bored, even though the guitar was definitely interesting and fun.
The last two songs, to me, were awfully hard to get through. The story was really cool for the first ... read more
Been on repeat since it came out. I can’t get enough of it
Truly perfect.
On first listen: this has a little bit of everything I love that makes Q such a top tier artist. He’s an amazing rapper, an amazing song curator, his beats on here are mesmerizing and fun, his lyrics have heart and there’s an element of controlled chaos here that I’m sure will unfold for me in time the more I listen to it.
Blueslides, pig feet, Ohio and a few other really stood out to me on first listen, but this record was much more dense than I think I realized at first so ... read more
Really boring at times.. the songs drag on a bit too much and kind of meander a lot of the time
Really annoying (to me) at times… like on he loves me yeah
But also has some really incredible moments. Mixed in with some very vibey and relaxing moments. I’m kind of mixed on this one.. there’s songs here I love and there’s songs here I really don’t like.
I will say, the first two songs and the title track are some of the best songs I’ve heard all year. I ... read more
“Music for hacking into the mainfraim”
I thought this album was gimmicky for years… but I finally see the light. This album is an adrenaline rush from front to back, with each song having something very uniquely energizing about it.
PURE ENERGY
I want this album in my veins
I prefer little dark age, but this album is a true psych pop masterpiece. A magnum opus for the genre that none od their other works are.
Congratulations is my favorite song of theirs and I know a lot of people share that same sentiment, that song is just a classic now.
Siberian Breaks is this maximalist, multi-part journey that is quite literally the best psychedelic music the 2010’s decade has to offer.
It’s working gives me the same feeling their precious hits did and is a ... read more
I really did not like this. I felt annoyed on every song, was dying for most of these songs to end (the one positive thing I can say is thank god they’re all so short), and I cringed at least once on every song.. which this genre usually doesn’t make me do.
The distortion on these songs didn’t work, the writing was laughably bad on most songs and I couldn’t help but be reminded of the worst Xxxtentacion soft songs. These all felt unfinished just for the aesthetic and ... read more
I love this album so much. From the happy vibe, to the songwriting, to the groovy guitar-work, to the weird little synth noises that make this album pop in such a unique and experimental way.
My favorites are burning down the house, this must be the place, gf is better and pulling up the roots.
This is one of the most fun albums I’ve ever heard. Can’t wait to try another album of theirs.
While I prefer the live versions of these songs, I really think the rough and unfinished sound really compliments these songs. Untitled 7 and are my favorites and the only ones I really revisit, but after coming back to this full project I really really appreciate the one with sza, the concept of 03, the groovy vibe on 08 and the back and forth between Jay rock and Kendrick on 05.
The only song I didn’t like is the one with cee lo green; I actually actively dislike that song and always ... read more
Very by the numbers for him. The beats were kinda boring, flows were standard and there were some real standout lines on here. “You the type to go down on insta kill” is bar of the year
An extremely well written album about humanity, time, art, life, and death. While this album comes across as surprisingly instrumentally simple/acoustic for them, this album is far from simple.
These songs are spiritually heavy and the lyrics are like living and breathing little poetic worlds that have to stick with you and reveal themselves with time and the more you ponder on them. This is the best written album I’ve listened to in years, the lyrics are definitely what makes this ... read more
This is such an improvement over Insano it’s actually insane(o). Sorry, lol. But god damn
There classic cudi all over this and the times that the Insano sounds seeps into these songs it’s usually very quality compared to his last album. It’s just such a mixed bag that it almost feels like a prank at times. There’s almost no album flow, and Willis? What is that? It’s genuinely the worst song he’s ever released but it seems like he knows that.

My first full length album from this band, and I liked it. I really liked parts of it, but most of it just did nothing for me. There is aspects of this sound I really like in the post punk genre and a lot of the guitar and synth work was really appealing to me, but its almost like these songs were kissing a kind of grit that I feel like this kind of music really needs for me.
These songs had a sort of positive and happy vibe that I’m not used to hearing in this genre which I like in ... read more
The atmosphere on this album is so unique and beautiful. The production matches her voice so well and creates a dark and ethereal vibe that really matches the album cover.
This album felt like an amateur culmination of a lot of the indie bands I grew up listening to (bright eyes, the microphones) in the best way. These songs are well written, there is a lot of emotion poured into these songs. I felt a strong connection to tracks like for ella, where weve been and until im with you again on first listen.
The album does feel like it is biting off more than it can chew at times, but there is something about that that is kind of endearing and attractive to me. Feels ... read more
