This is definitely not for me; I felt annoyed and second hand embarrassment on most every song. Sometimes it was a cute/endearing cringe like on plastic, but usually it was the worst kind of cringe like on there were changes, grad school, and well… most of them
But I don’t hate this. It has heart, some of the songs were catchy and the instrumental pallete kept me intrigued. I liked the guitar on there were changes a whole lot. Idk. I just felt interested and amused for my whole ... read more
Kinda cool. Kinda boring. Didn’t do anything for me but it’s not bad and I liked the mix of genres and some of the beats.
His voice is just so whiney and the lyrics felt too immature and r/im14andthisisdeep.
But I definitely see the appeal, lastJune had a catchy and punchy chorus with that guitar and there is definitely little parts of the album I liked, but for the most of it I was kinda wishing it would end. But it’s just not cup of tea. Not a bad record by any means.
This album feels like being presented with an intensely awful (or an eerie) emotion, and details the journey of this protagonist climbing this mountain of emotion. I could break it down track by track, but when you listen to the album and think of it like this it’s pretty clear. The first half of the first song has a lot of tilted percussion and is very jarring to start the album off with. This, to me, feels like the initial shock of a traumatic event/negative emotion . Followed by the ... read more

It grew off of me a little, it doesn’t have much replay value and some of these songs are just kind of meh and drag on too long. I still really love what this album is going for, it’s very creative. Just maybe not for me like I thought it would be at first; and that’s okay
This feels really abstract and creative. I’ve never heard anything like it. I’ve only listened to it once so my score is probably going to change, but most of these songs really ... read more
It’s cringe. As hell. But it’s not as egregious as people are making it out to be. Or maybe I just feel that way because I loved the show and genuinely think it’s much better than other shows in it’s lane like Atlanta.
Shit on the music all you want but I’m seeing a lot of people hating on the show without having seen it, story telling and writing clearly where Dave’s talents lie. Not music. The only two songs on here that I thought were cool were jail and ... read more
This album makes me so emotional it’s hard to listen to. Every single song here is truly perfect to me. It’s one of those pieces of art that I hear and am wowed the whole way through, constantly thinking “how did a human make this?”
I have a little boy and a fiancé that I love so much. And hearing this makes me think of them in the best way possible. It makes me think of the little things in our daily
routine, our laughs and happy memories that only us three ... read more
I was expecting this to be good, but this absolutely blew me away.
The rapping is so laid back and relaxing, his voice is so smooth and is exactly what the cadence I enjoy when listening to this type of hip hop. The lyrics were clever, honest, intriguing and really paint a picture of what ever topic boldly is discussing.
But man. These beats. God damn these beats. I listen to hip hop albums in this vein A LOT so I kind of understand the standard of beats that are in the alchemist/conductor ... read more
It feels like the Jesus Christ stuff is only tagged along here to create controversy. It doesn’t even fit the song at all.
The song is catchy, but he has such better songs I don’t think this is as good as any of his other hits. The video was really creative and funny but that’s about as far as ur goes… the highigh note part is the only thing really saving this song. And the bitch I’m back like J Christ because it’s so funny.
The song is meh, but the ... read more
A really cute, emotionally heavy indie/folk album with seriously beautiful song palettes and interesting little production choices.
Even the louder moments here feel gentle and soft. My fiancé loves her 2014 EP so I decided to give this a chance, I was immediately hooked by the luscious ambient intro and the song “no caffeine” which came with a pounding acoustic riff that really made the song pop. There was nothing here (other than the first two songs maybe) that really ... read more

This thing sucks
I have a feeling that I’m over rating this, as this is my first impression and I really tried to be as charitable as possible, but I really didn’t like the majority of this album. The production felt cheap, his vocals were actually grating to me for most of it and it really made me feel like he just wasn’t even trying or using even an ounce of talent on some of these songs. I didn’t feel any emotions this entire listen other than ... read more
Average album for 21 savage. The intro and the Travis Scott song were great and I like that his writing was a little more personal here.
There were some high points, but I found myself bored for a lot of this album and it felt like there was more filler than killer.
I’m rating this a lot higher than I probably would because of how culturally important this album is.
I’ve listened to this record twice, and musically this thing just isn’t for me. There are of course classic songs that make you bang your head and rap along like the title track and fuck the police, and the beats are classic and full of attitude just like everyone’s voice and lyrics, but the lyrics just seem one more to me and I feel like most of this album is carried ... read more
I can’t believe I waited so long to listen to this. One of the best pieces of music ever created.
