It's lucid, the tracks flowing in and out of one another so well, combined with the overall feel of the album, makes the listening experience so much more fun. This album is - for the most part - just straight fun, with some really great west coast beats and some funny and creative lyrics. This album is probably the closest we'll get to an album of Kendrick being relaxed and not really worrying about the overarching theme of an album.

It's very well produced and mixed, letting Billie's vocals really stand out when they need to, and taking centre stage when given the opportunity. It's so sonically different, the whole album from one song to the next, but melds together so well as an entireity.

This album was a roller coaster to listen to, and in so many ways.
On first listen, day of release, as soon as I woke up for school, I thought it was unbelievably mid. It actually bummed me out the rest of the day. It’s funny though, how I could tell that there was something I was missing.
