Cities aviv is my favourite artist oat, this album confirmed it, it's a masterpiece, it's his best rapping out of any project and arguably his best production. The sampling on this is the best I've ever heard, the beautiful vocal samples being chopped and cut with incredible rapping over it l. This is a feat of production and creativity
This album sounds like nothing else, incredibly immersive album with constantly changing soundscapes. I'm not the biggest fan of IDM or electronic music but this album is so good. Albums like this create a world to immerse yourself in. Amazing production aswell
This is the greatest 3 album run of all time. This production that cities aviv uses is the best production can get in my opinion. Man plays the horn is probably his Mangus opus, over a hour of some of the best sampling and production and cities sounds the most confident and refined on this than ever before.
Best way to describe this album is hauntingly beautiful. The production is very ethereal and dreamy as you would expect from them. Elizabeth Frazer is the highlight if this album, the way she uses her voice as the main vocals and the sometimes even the instruments is crazy. Great listening experience.
Really cool and fazy shoegaze, I love how you can hear instrumentals faze into the songs slowly from the background. Della zyr also experiments with the volume, some parts of songs are softer and quieter and they can quickly become louder making it feel like drifting in and out of a dream. The album cover is amazing aswell
One of the best voices I've ever heard. Great production, every song just feels so alive and soulful
Vince Staples never misses. The most political album from him, there's a lot of strong topics and messages but Vince doesn't sugarcoat it through metaphors. It's blunt and easy to understand which might be the only way to actually let it reach the targeted audience.
This album feels like listening to a old dusty book with missing and out of order pages in the best way possible. It's very loud and abrasive in a weirdly beautiful way.
One of the greatest things I've ever heard. Such a good layered soundscape. It blends shoegaze and dream pop so well every song was just entrancing to listen to
Maybe I need some more relistens but this just doesn't click for me. I don't hate it but I don't see what's special about it
I really like this on first listen but I e never really gone back to this. And it's really bloated
