Solid Air

A convincing folk (rock) / singer-songwriter album. In particuar I like the title track alone for the dedication to Nick Drake, the second "Over the Hill" with the wonderful tune, the third one "Don't Want to Know" for the slow-groovy mood, the Skip James cover "I'd Rather Be the Devil" for the (successful) avant-garde/psychedelic folk approach, the great instrumentals (guitar, clavinet) in the last quarter and the suitable shift to "Go Down Easy", and so on, and so on....every single track is a pleasure.
Overall Solid Air is an important and one of the best British folk rock albums ever.
