I love this record, but i will admittedly give at least an 8 to anyone who refers to Trump as "The Oompa Loompa with the nukes"

Well i quite flippin' liked it. It's really all over the place. Tracks are non cohirent, production is inconsistent, it's sometimes haunting other times goofy. It all adds to the absurdity of it all.

And there are plenty of very sonically pleasing aspects to this album as well. For example; The strings (cello?) on "Amargi ve Moo" is cool AF, "Normal Love" is instrumentally just wonderful, and then there is the cowbell on Pumpkin Attack that Thanos is going crazy for. I ... read more

I will give this album credit for introducing me to Anthony and the Johnsons, since it was pretty clear that "Hope There's Someone" was a cover. Addicted to you is actually not bad either.

Playing the game LittleBigPlanet years ago will forever be one of my fondest memories in gaming and my childhood. And the first two games (never played the third) had some great music soundtracks with tracks from Squarepusher, Plaid, the Go! Team, Ladytron and even f*ckin "Atlas" by Battles was on there. The first game also had the song "Volver A Comenzar" by Café Tacvba, which i still love to this day. Might just be nostalgia, but when that synth hits after the great ... read more

Actually the first Swallow The Sun album i listened to. While i usually prefer my metal to have a bit more grit and roughness to the sound, i can't deny that i enjoyed the majority of this one. Also, surprisingly catchy, which i for some reason wasn't really expecting.

I don't know if it's because of the short track lenghts that none of these tracks realy stood out to me on my first few listens. I am glad i kept trying tho, after a while you just realize how much you actually like every track on here

Eh, this type of electronic music is not really my thing, but there are some fun tracks here and there. "Vision One" is hella cool tho

Pretty good. I enjoyed many of the tracks here, and i was actually quite engaged throughout. I don't get why so many seem to be bored by this? There are plenty of albums within this style of music that is a far more dry experience to get through. However, i am not completely head over heels about anything on here. So yea, a pretty good album, but not much more than that for me.

EDIT: feeling it growing on me a bit. I might also be the only one who really likes the opener, for some reason.

With recordings from around 1990-1991 (i believe??) but with a new vocal track on top of it, Goatlord is a release very different from what a Darkthrone fan could expect at this point in their discography. The old recordings are from back when they were much more a death metal band, and the quality is beyond what i consider "black metal aestathically bad" . With this, the album neither has the atmosphere of a black metal release, nor does it have the same direct "brutal" ... read more

An obvious step away from the Kvlt sound of the Darkthrone trilogy which comes right before Panzerfaust, but certainly still a very good album, and one i do consider to be part of Darktrones best material. With a lot of Celtic Frost influences, Darkthrone is being a lot more direct in their menace, with louder and more up front vocals, Meatier guitar tones, punchier riffs, and overall more variation. Still, very menacing indeed.

Panzerfaust also starts off with one of my absolute favorite ... read more

This drum kick sound that all these modern technical proggy death metal groups are using is slowly but damn surely killing me. The sax i didn't mind too much actually, it took some getting used to but wasn't nearly as gimmicky as one might have suspected.
