Cleopatrick - BUMMER

This is crazy good dirty rock record, especially considering how saturated the genre is with mediocre with DFA and Royal Blood copycats in recent years.
Cleopatrick break from the crowd in their debut, with noisy distorted riffs we’d expect, but also with the low key vocals that feel like they wouldn’t sound out of place on a hip hop lp or a bluesy jazz fusion record.

It’s not all great riffs and catchy choruses though, cleopatrick manage to cool it down a bit with slower cuts like 2008 WHY JULY, that don’t sound like intermediate filler but really add to the lp experience.

While the lyrical content isn’t totally complex or new, the passion in the vocals is obvious and hard hitting, with themes of powerlessness to the world and the man
