KIM WOOSEOK - 3RD DESIRE [REVE]

How did Wooseok go from releasing two of the best songs of 2021 (Sugar & Next) to releasing such a bad EP? Weak vocals, bad mixing and sounds that do not work together. The producers didn’t know his vocal abilities, making him sound awkward at some points. Wooseok is not a powerhouse vocalist, his seeling point is his soft and sweeter timbre… A big disappointment and it doesn’t surprise me that he had his lowest sale numbers with project.

Inspired by Woodz - Waiting I assume? This is the best song on the EP. Everything after Ghostin is a mess.

Switch (2/5)
Le moi is confused. Where is this song going? The abrupt texture change for the pre-chorus threw me off. And the random adlib in the chorus kinda sounds cringey. I don’t like the post-hook either. The drums and guitars could hit more. The entire song feels like a patchwork track. It’s messy. I don’t like it.

What More Can I Do (2/5)
Immediately another badly mixed track. No one needs those random piano chords. So much is going on. Unfortunately the vocal performance for the bridge feels weak and lackluster.

Shame (2.5/5)
The autotune for the bridge was so much it almost sounded goofy.

Korean piano ballad.
