We Are Not Your Kind

If Iowa was aggressive nonsense, the debut was their most nu metal and Subliminal Verses their more versatile work, then this is peak Slipknot. It’s the best of every album that I just mentioned combined in a full album experience where you have your electronic interludes, the aggressive songs and the more soft and beautiful ballads throughout the record, it makes a great listening experience to sit through without getting bored or uninterested on what is gonna happen next. The production is their best in this album and the compositions are well executed and crafted, the musicianship still kicks ass and Corey Taylor’s voice sounds mean and powerful at the same time. This might be my favorite album by Slipknot next to Subliminal Verses, I think this pretty much summarizes the sound of them and their capabilities as artists.
