Slipknot - .5: The Gray Chapter

I guess they really wanted to make AHIG the sequel with this one. It just suffers as the last album by also being very lame and uninspired, nothing on this album seemed authentic or even original for Slipknot’s standards, everything sounded the same except for a couple of songs which were singles unsurprisingly and the production sounds like any metal band from the 2010’s. I’m really surprised that they could step up from this sound in the next album WANYK because listening to this album and the previous it felt like they weren’t taking themselves seriously and they were only doing cash grabbing because they’re one of the most popular metal bands of all time. I hope the next final album be at least decent at best because I don’t like listening to stuff that I know I won’t like or even hate but I’ll be on my best behavior and mood to finish Slipknot’s discography.
