Kero Kero Bonito continue down their house and dance music route with more explorations of vocal manipulations and samples. This EP sounds like a party, yet the lyrical content is still just as climate-aware, and dystopian as Civilisation I. Some of the lyrics carrying the same ironic undertones as found in Bonito Generation's critique of the education system. Still though, these tracks have a huge focus on being upbeat and danceable. I mean the final track "Well Rested" even features a Roland TB-03 bassline for goodness sake. I really enjoy this direction for the band, and can only hope that they are able to realize this concept even further in an album eventually.
