Fit For An Autopsy - Oh What the Future Holds

Though Oh What The Future Holds isn't groundbreaking by any means and even a bit underwhelming in the first half, it's definitely one of the easier-to-listen deathcore records I've heard, and I would still recommend this album to anyone curious about the genre.

FAVORITE TRACKS: Conditional Healing, Collateral Damage, Savages
LEAST FAVORITE TRACK: Pandora

Sadly deathcore is going in the wrong direction, aiming to apply vocal gimmicks as predictable breakdowns rather than thriving in expert song craft

I both agree and disagree. I think with deathcore rising in popularity, there's definitely been a surge and oversaturation of breakdown-core which I'm also getting tired of at this point, but there's definitely still bands out there that mix in great technique. A very recent example I can think of is Lorna Shore, and while "To The Hellfire" definitely is breakdown heavy, the "...And I Return To Nothingness" EP as a whole really showcases a whole lot of variety in riffs and technique.
