I appreciate the effort, but the execution needs a little more work. BUT KEEP GOING IN THIS DIRECTION!! You definitely have potential here.

Oh Posty, I wish the entire album sounded like "New Recording 12, Jan 3, 2020"
A simple, but haunting and sobering sound.
It was grounded, and is my favorite track on the album, despite it being only 1min 30 seconds.
Roddy why can you have a simple on beat flow!! Thats all the song needed, you didn't need to suddenly speed up and slow down, when you could have just sung on the beat like Post did.
Strange album. Hard to grasp on first listen to many of the concepts and themes, but after a couple subsequent listens I have a lot of love for the ideas he tried to convey and process.
Songs that hit me personally where Father Time, We Cry Together, and Auntie Diaries. Father Time especially, my god is that song relatable to me.
I am happy that Kendrick seems to have found some peace while making this, and I am happy to hear my struggles with "daddy issues" be so well documented ... read more
I haven't felt this happy since I first found tame impala. Wow. Makes me feel lightheaded and happy, like when sponge bob and patrick play with a leaf blower. Just happiness
Production, chord progression, kendrick's vocal tone and cadences, all work for me.
To Let A Good Think Die is the epitome of one of my lifelong struggles, learning how to let go of something that once meant something to you. Old childhood friend groups that slowly drift apart, memories with your dog that are now so distant from you. These things weigh down on you.
This album, and mores this song from the album, speak to my soul on dealing with that emotional rollercoaster, and help validate and process my emotions.
I loved this.
YESSSIR MAKE ME FEEL LIKE I AM A WORTHLESS PIECE OF GARBAGE YES MY KEVIN IMPALA
Can someone help me out, what makes future "good" to y'all? His vocals are always mumbly, runny, nondescript, and so difficult to get engrossed in. For the life of me I can't latch on to any vocal melody this man sings, which in return makes it hard for me to like any of his songs.
It doesn't even allow the songs to be vibey for me, because all I hear when he sings is the autotune trying desperately to latch on to the note he's trying to sing.
Its a style that has remained foreign ... read more
I am pretty surprised. Not that I thought Abel would give us a crap album, but seeing him create more upbeat and more joyful sounding tracks- compared to his usual brooding introspective style of music that I love -was a bit off-putting when I first heard. But after listening to the album in its entirety, I definitely think this is a great project, and it will be grower for sure.
After first listen, rating is 70. I am anticipating that to grow with time though, with time.

I barely write reviews, but I gotta write one for this.
Bro this is not as bad as you guys are making it out to be. I just don't understand the response here. It's good, but not great. Personally, I never listened to Drake based on just lyrics. It's the overall vibe that's the allure. That's his genius. Tracks like "Race My Mind", "Fair Trade", "Champagne Poetry", are all fantastic tracks because of the melancholic introspective vibe that they put you into and ... read more
