i think i had the same ears as pitchfork listening to Red
22 is absurdly good in both versions, it's my favorite hit among Red bubblegum pop trinity. The Last Time lost some points because I don't feel that taylor's voice and gary's voice fit together as well as in the re-recording, despite the instrumental being impeccable. i don't know how but The Lucky One is SO much better here, i think the song works much more in taylor's young voice, which is really ... read more
my disappointment with the video wouldn't take away the charm i have with this track, which has been aging very well for me! everything is where it should be: the elegant voice, luxurious production, the shine and charm of a showgirl that i wanted to feel throughout the album. max martin and shellback added their classic sound to the theme and it was simply fascinating. my only reservation is the adlibs in the final chorus that should have been louder
happy for the tribute to elizabeth, ... read more
this classic and framed aoty
how did she manage to take the synthetic pop of 1989 and make it adult and elegant like this? so refined
i like the contradictions in the songs because here it screams this speech about being lost with insomnia in the most random dawns possible. some verses define me in a frightening way. i love that.
this pleasantly surprised me! it's the first miley album that ive listened to in full and i found the complexity of the sound here very interesting... End Of The World has aged like wine for me since the first time I heard it — what a good feeling it gives listening to the vocals in this song. Walk Of Fame and Every Girl You've Ever Loved have insane instrumentals that will still grow on me LOT
this sound is so simple young pop girl in 2020!
she didn't need much to make history here
the ending is so beautiful that i ended up forgetting the words to describe this anthology
first time listening to a harry styles album, occasionally. the instrumentals are quite interesting in some songs, but that characteristic of his lukewarm voice is a bit disappointing. without a doubt, the best song is Pop. catchy chorus, brilliant production, and i really like his time here. Season 2 Weight Loss has such a nostalgic sound idk
some of the instrumentals here are REALLY interesting. i think gretchen inspired this album
i finally heard it with the right ears and now im sure this one is better than gnx 😠im so speechless
i just discovered everything that's in "reincarnated" and im trying to process one of the most brilliant songs I've ever heard... kendrick, you really are everything.
(am I the only one who thinks gloria is better than luther? 😬)
my only reservations here are the re-recordings of "Blank Space" and "Style". otherwise, the clean production and taylor's vocals immersed in synth-pop are soul-soothing (even more so if you listen on Apple Music). i remember my frustration listening to the vault tracks for the first time; little did I know they were misunderstood songs that would age like FINE WINE (the "Slut!" music video is still stuck in my head). trio Wonderland - You Are In Love - New ... read more
everything about this song enchants me. one of the greatest of all time
