Kate Bush - The Dreaming
90
AOTY HOF. 60

I mean, she is SO British. Stranger Things artist make good music. Kate is unlike anyone and I am also in love with her.

Madvillain - Madvillainy
99
AOTY HOF NO. 59

There's music before and there's music after Madvillainy. Neither of the two were the same. Make that make sense.

Michael Jackson - Thriller
96
AOTY HOF NO. 58

I really have no answer to why I overlooked this album. Why was pop music so great in the 1980s??? Where did we go wrong????

Miles Davis - Kind of Blue
94
AOTY HOF NO. 57

This might be the most jazz album of all time. It's charm is in that it doesn't do too much and certainly doesn't do too little. It does everything just the right way.

Phoebe Bridgers - Punisher
93
AOTY HOF NO. 56

In such a horrible year of music (and everything, really), Phoebe Bridgers put her passion and her pain on full display. It's a reminder that we're never alone in emotion, even if that emotion is heartbreak. Awesome, awesome, awesome.

Wu-Tang Clan - Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)
100
AOTY HOF. NO 55

I am beyond biased on this review. I don't care. This is Staten Island's greatest creation and it will never not be the greatest rap album ever (probably).

Fishmans - Long Season
100
AOTY HOF NO. 54

I am so serious in saying this would've been the greatest thing I've ever listened to if the live version didn't exist. AND BOTH ARE OUTSTANDING. I am so so lucky to live in a world where a group of people created this thing.

Wilco - Yankee Hotel Foxtrot
99
AOTY HOF NO. 53

This took me sooooooo so off guard. The laid back yet so serious feeling throughout every song is so damn good and I'm so upset I haven't listened to this earlier. Indie rock and I have never been better friends.

Swans - Soundtracks For The Blind
93
AOTY NO. 52

I was anticipating this listen for a long, long time. It was just as disturbing as everyone had suggested. Super good album, disc 2 > disc 1 IMO.

Queens of the Stone Age - ...Like Clockwork
95
AOTY HOF NO. 51

This is the prototypical alt rock album and does not get nearly the amount of credit it deserves. The guitars are so contagious yet so dark. I am in love with this underrated modern classic.

Marvin Gaye - What's Going On
99
AOTY HOF NO. 50

With a message that holds truer than 50 years after its inception, Marvin Gaye made it a mission to crystallize the urgent sentiments of millions within these 35 minutes. His performance brings a spirit with it that no one can match. It sounds as though he was a conduit delivering heavily-needed doses of love & reason from above.

Nas - Illmatic
99
AOTY HOF NO. 49

Maybe the MOST hip-hop album of all time? I feel like this is the Bible of rap. From rhymes to flow to beats, features, structure, pacing, story, blah blah blah it has every component.

Pierre Fournier - Sechs Suiten für Violoncello Solo BWV 1007-1012
40
AOTY HOF NO. 48

This is so not engaging at all. Like, cool its cool for the first song but no NO!!!! I CANT DO 2 HRS AND 20 MINS!!!!

JPEGMAFIA - LP! (Offline Version)
96
AOTY HOF NO. 47

THE OFFLINE VERSION DESERVES THE MOST PRAISE POSSIBLE. JPEG's production is just otherworldly. He's encompassed the entirety underground hip-hop, and this album may be his opus.

Tyler, the Creator - IGOR
98
AOTY HOF NO. 46

This is a modern classic. Blending the genres of hip-hop, pop, funk, soul, and rock together, Tyler created nothing less than a masterpiece. All-time great.

Idles - Joy as an Act of Resistance
94
AOTY HOF NO. 45

I knew I'd enjoy this from Never Fight a Man With a Perm alone. I just didn't know I'd enjoy it this much. Joe Talbot is a modern legend.

JID - The Forever Story
95
AOTY HOF NO. 44

A NEW INSTANT-CLASSIC-HIP-HOP ALBUM! YES!!! THANK YOU JID!!!!!!!

Stan Getz & João Gilberto - Getz/Gilberto
95
AOTY HOF NO. 43

So nice. So calm. Makes me feel like I might fall in love with the album itself.

J Dilla - Donuts
94
AOTY HOF NO. 42

Donuts, as an experience, reaches heights that very few hip-hop albums can even dream of. Dilla makes the album tell a full story without any words necessary. He was and forever will be the GREATEST at what he does.

Radiohead - Kid A
92
AOTY HOF NO. 41

There's no real comparison sonically when it comes to this album. The electronic sound is so off-putting in the best way, creating the occasion for some of Radiohead's best content to be shown. This deserves every stitch of praise it gets.
