After 4 years, ROADRUNNER: NEW LIGHT, NEW MACHINE finally revived my love for Brockhampton. As a whole, and as a complete listening experience, Roadrunner is the mature, fully realized quintessential Brockhampton album. Through the impeccable flow of this album, I feel like I'm being transported to a deeply personal, and extravagant film. I could go on and on about the way each track and its placement reinforces the film-esc narrative but by far the moment that solidified this feeling is in its ... read more

The project shows a clear growth in Michelle’s character and the manner in which she captures song aesthetics as a whole.

“Paprika” is an impressive opener, standing as one of the key ... read more

3 years following his impressive debut soil, Josiah Wise returns with an 11 track venture into passionate love and self-harmony with DEACON. Between the release of his sophomore record, Josiah has worked on several projects, including Ty Dolla Sign’s song “Ego Death”, and an EP titled Apparition. However, nothing really pointed to the direction and stylistic shift that DEACON stumbles to capture.

The lead single, although it embodies the core of the album’s narrative, ... read more

About

I only review pretty albums.

My opinions on a project have a pretty short expiration date.
