Love this album. Such a great mix of power metal and 80s Europop.
Every song is an absolute banger! Perfect for a workout or fighting a dragon.
A solid radio friendly alt metal with melodic verses and super catchy choruses.
Spirit Crusher is great, and Painkiller is good too, but the rest of the album feels too repetitive and did not really give me anything new. Overall, the album is fine, but it definitely did not wow me.
Music for almost forty year old kids who know they are not that young anymore, but still love to mess around and enjoy life.
A beautiful album that most people did not really get, and one that remains highly underrated.
Right now Deadbeat feels like Tame Impala’s most carefree and at the same time most serious work.
Why such a low rating?
Their best album since The Art of Drowning.
Not bad. I like it more than 'Ohms', but it doesn’t quite reach the melodic/hooky moments that Gore had.
Feels like a pretty standard “legacy rock band” album, the kind you’d expect from a group with 20+ years behind them, trying to recapture the magic of their past eras. You can hear echoes of 'White Pony', 'Koi No Yokan', even 'Ohms' scattered throughout.

I really like the dreamy, sad vibe of the music. Just not sure the vocals are on the same wavelength.
Great record, but personally I think it would’ve been even better without vocals, as a fully instrumental album.
From Zero is the best Linkin Park album since Hybrid Theory and Meteora.
The album feels like a retrospective of band evolution. You can hear echoes of their early nu metal sound, blended with the more pop and electronic vibes they explored in later years. Thankfully, it leans more toward the old-school LP, which longtime fans will appreciate.
Special shoutout to Emily Armstrong: her gritty, grungy vocals are a perfect match for the band’s sound and add a fresh dynamic to the mix.

Just a really good album with that nostalgic 90s female grunge vibe.

A strong debut album. The sound is punchy garage punk with lively melodies, bringing to mind early Fidlar or Wavves. It’s not particularly original, but it’s super listenable and works well as background music. I enjoyed it and hope the band sticks with this vibe.

I’ve been into Beck for a long time, but somehow I always missed this album. I only heard Sea Change recently, and I had mixed feelings — part of me wishes I’d found it earlier, but I’m also glad I didn’t get tired of it too soon.
The album feels super calming — like something that helps you relax and feel cozy. It’s full of beautiful, sad songs, and it really works best when you listen from start to finish, not just one song at a time.
