THIS IS SUCH AN EPIC DEBUT ALBUM.
Pop Punk is a genre I used to be addicted to, but very few albums still resonate with me. And of those is "Take This To Your Grave by Fall Out Boy" (along with their next two albums).
They don't any major risks here, it's just a fun pop punk/emo album that kicks so much ass. Most songs here are undeniable bangers and anthems. There's about 3 exceptions ("Wish You Were Here", "Patron Saint" and "The Pros and Cons of Breathing"), but honestly everything else is fucking GOLD. Whenever I put this record out, I constantly jump up and down out of excitement and happiness! They truly made some of the catchiest pop punk songs early on. I'm very glad they still play a couple songs from this album live. I saw them last summer and when they played Grand Theft Autumn I screamed at the top of my lungs!!
Top 3 songs:
1. Grand Theft Autumn
2. Grenade Jumper (HEY CHRIS YOU WERE OUR ONLY FRIEND)
3. Homesick At Space Camp
