Yippee ki-yay! 8OO ratings! That can only mean one thing, pardner... That's right, listening to Marty Robbins country classic, Gunfighter Ballads And Trail Songs. Kicking off the album, we have Big Iron, a track that not only is incredibly memable and popular, but one which is catchy and fun, while simultaneously telling the story of an Arizona Ranger's duel with an outlaw named Texas Red. A swift duel it was, as Texas Red was shot down within 1 shot. You should've been there to see it! The ... read more

I have reached 7OO ratings, and you know what that means, another head-scratching cult classic...I know this is supposed to be a "so bad it's good" album, but in my honest opinion, I legitimately enjoy all these tracks. This is all very reminiscent of Black Dresses, but a very underdeveloped Black Dresses, or a prototype 100 gecs. "Farrah Abraham lays down these emotionally potent lyrics over some masterfully produced electropop/dance-pop beats..." Or something along those ... read more

For my 666th rating, I've chosen a spooky record, a hip-hop classic, and an album I've been meaning to check out for a while now. Gravediggaz basically pioneered horrorcore on this project, which is a crazy achievement on it's own, but that's not the only thing that makes this so great. The beats are devious, as if you took 36 Chambers and cranked it to the 9th level of hell, only getting darker and more disturbed as the album goes on. The group may be kickstarting an entire sub-genre, but that ... read more

can't really decide between this and Schlagenheim, but I think this narrowly beats it. These are some of the meanest jams of 2021, and the most ball-itching drumming I've heard since... I think this is the first time anyone has described someone's drumming as "ball-itching" so I guess this album is unique in that way. One little critique I have is the mixing, which can get a little cluttered and swampy at times, especially Hogwash and Balderdash. Loving this on every listen πŸ₯

for my 6OOth rating, I've decided to check out one of the most important albums of all time, a maddening outsider-rock extravaganza, Philosophy of the World. Going commando only made me more uncomfortable while listening. It's a very difficult task to compare this to anything, because it's a one of a kind, and maybe for a good reason. I guess I could draw comparisons to Trout Mask Replica, but that was all organized to sound the way it does - This is not that. The one thing that perplexed me ... read more

Not sorted by how much I want them; sorted by artist - sort of? Records I already own are in my library.
