So, if the beginning is the end… and the end is the beginning… then what's the end anyway?
This is just amazing. And to think people believe sampling is “stealing”
Also that Possibly Maybe sample is done so well
Echoes of Silence stands out to me in the trilogy because I feel it takes more risks that House of Balloons does, and thankfully they pay off. Juicy J being credited on Same Old Song just to only yap for 15 seconds is funny.
The weakest in the trilogy but it’s not bad. I feel the tracks do go on too long but this mixtape has some of my favorite songs by The Weeknd (The Birds Part 1 and 2)
Björk was so ahead of her time and still is today. How does music from the 90s still sound like the future?
You have these gorgeous lush strings, experimental electronic production and one of the best and unique voices in music. Combine that and you get one of the most beautiful albums I’ve had the pleasure of listening to.
Favorite(s): Hunter, Joga, Unravel, Bachelorette, Alarm Call, Pluto, All is Full of Love
After telling myself i’d listen to the friend’s house albums that have came out this year, I forgot to listen to every single one except this one. This is awesome. Anyone unfamiliar with drug bug would expect a diet wetdream here but it actually manages to make a unique sound even with a similar arrangement of instruments! Very good/10
Favorite(s): Hell for a Basement, Star Sick, Discotheque of My Own Misery, Sleep Pretty Baby, Between Months
Why does every song keep going like a minute after they should end? Why does this EP just get worse as it goes. 3005 Beach Picnic Version is peak with the hidden vocals though.
Favorite(s): Sober, Pop Thieves (SHUT UP JADEN SMITH), Retro
Least Favorite(s): Poke, Late Night in Kauai
Just a gorgeous album. I think I prefer ‘To See The Next Part of the Dream’ before this but this album is surely more impressive. Every song in the second half sounds like it was meant to be the outro of the album for some reason.
Favorite(s): Polaris, Insomnia, Arrival, We Shine At Night, Parade, Sound Inside Me Waves Inside You
Very unique for a folk album which to be fair I should’ve seen it coming from a black midi member. The whole windmill scene is practically on this album. Great stuff
Both songs are easily top 5 in The Great Annihilator. Mother/Father is a top 5 Swans song.

Album #12 of listening to the entire Swans discography:
This album genuinely sounds like it was recorded from Hell. It’s so dark, tribal and nothing like the album before it.
Shoutout to that one 4chan post where that dude plays The Seer (song) on the bar’s jukebox and everyone leaves.
Favorite(s): Lunacy, Mother of the World, The Seer, The Seer Returns, 93 Ave Blues, Song for a Warrior, A Piece of the Sky
Album #11 of listening to the entire Swans discography:
I am finally on the post-hiatus albums.. starting with this album that has way too long of a name. I can see they are going for more post-rock focused music for the next albums to come. I feel the second half is worse than the first half in my opinion. 1 minute long Michael Gira acapella segment in Little Mouth was so aura 😍😍
Jarboe we miss you </3
