Black Country, New Road - Ants From Up There

Black Country, New Road showed from an early age an enormous quality in illustrating their feelings through instrumentation and production, but, in this project, the lyrics also gain a special place in our sound experience. Songs like "Bread Song" bring out the band's vulnerability, especially of the lead singer Isaac Wood.

“So show mе the land you acquired
And slip into something beside
The holes you try to hide”

The narrator begs his love partner to show his true colors and accept him on a deeper level of trust and intimacy. However, we know that this appeal is not just an offer of help. It's a desperate cry for intimacy rooted in a fear of loneliness. The lyrical theme of Ants From Up There is thus a loose narrative, which sees an anxious character navigating a relationship that, from the first track, seems to be falling apart.

Demos a mesma nota, 92! Fico muito feliz por ter gostado do álbum tanto quanto eu gostei. Uma pena o vocalista ter se retirado, Isaac era um cantor/compositor incrível.
