Sit Still, Look Pretty has a few catchy pop moments, but most of the album feels bland and predictable. Many tracks blend together, with polished production that can’t fully hide the lack of personality or standout hooks.
Charmbracelet has some solid moments, however, a lot of the album feels safe and generic. The polished production sometimes overshadows her personality. While it’s listenable, it lacks the standout hits and energy of her earlier work.
One of, if not the best, comebacks of all time. The Emancipation of Mimi is a confident, polished comeback that reminds listeners why Mariah Carey is one of pop and R&B’s biggest voices. The album blends slick ballads and uptempo tracks seamlessly, and her vocals are as impressive as ever. A high point in her career.
The Life of Pablo has flashes of brilliance, but most of the album feels scattered and uneven. Some tracks are catchy or innovative, but a lot of the record drags with disjointed production and unfinished-feeling ideas. Kanye’s experimentation is ambitious, but it often comes across as chaotic rather than cohesive. I’m also not a fan of the propaganda that’s sprinkled in.
808s & Heartbreak is a bold shift in Kanye’s sound. The stripped-down, melancholic style is interesting at first, but as the album goes on gets more and more uninteresting. The emotional themes are clear, but they don’t always stay engaging across the full runtime. Overall, important and influential, but not the most compelling listen front to back.
Harry Styles has some strong, catchy tracks that showcase his charm and ability to craft radio-friendly pop-rock, but a lot of the album feels uneven. The production is polished, but most songs blend together. The true standout is clearly Sign of the Times, which he still has yet to top in any of his projects. The personality comes through at times, but not consistently across the album.
Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally is half‑baked and directionless. Some tracks start with promise before dragging on without much payoff, with the instrumentation blending into a bland dance‑pop wash and Harry’s vocals buried under effects. Most of the songs often lack memorable hooks or standout energy and feel like filler. Harry Styles lacks the songwriting ability to make anything that isn’t just vague and empty. I think some of the songs are catchy enough, but they are ... read more
Cloud 9 has some nice moments, but most of it falls into safe, predictable country pop. The songs don’t really stand out and tend to blur together. The features also really don’t do anything to help the album feel more interesting. It also feels like a step down from Lucky, with less sharp songwriting and personality. Overall, it’s a kind of mid and forgettable.
Troubled Paradise has some fun, catchy moments, but it’s pretty inconsistent overall. A lot of strong highs, but also a lot of filler that drags the album down and makes it feel longer than it should. Overall, it’s a decent but uneven.
STARFUCKER is a confident, high-energy pop album that fully commits to its glossy, dark aesthetic. The songs all have great hooks and cohesive sound. Overall, it’s a great and focused project that is a big step up from her debut album.
F-1 Trillion feels like a messy, half-committed pivot that never really works. The generic country sound and weak songwriting are hard to listen to, with features that feel more like gimmicks than actual highlights. Most of the album drags with boring tracks that have no real identity or staying power. Overall, it’s a pretty bad and uninspired.
BRASILIAN SKIES is a smooth, feel-good jazz fusion record that’s consistently enjoyable, even if it doesn’t fully stand out as great. The bright Brazilian influences, catchy guitar work, and relaxed vibe can be great, but can also sometimes feel a bit repetitive or more about atmosphere than depth. Overall, it’s a good, easy listen.
Familia has some nice ideas, especially with the Latin influences and more personal themes, but it doesn’t come together that well. Much of the album feels bland, uneven, or just forgettable, with songs that don’t really connect or stick. Overall, it’s a kind of mid and unfocused.
Yeah, I hated this. There are very few songs where I can handle Travis Scotts voice. The lyrical content is laughably bad. The production is also not my style and is a pain. Sorry, but screaming with millions of layers of autotune on your voice does not make your subpar voice and vomit inducing lyrics any better. This genuinely gives me the ick.
Boring boring boring. The worst thing music can be is boring and this excels at that. He took the redeeming qualities of his previous work and watered them down. The production is now more boring and the vocals, which were already holding the previous album back, are now more central. His voice is nails on chalkboard sometimes and choosing more basic production that calls attention to your subpar voice and often reductive lyrics was certainly a choice. I do think that this does have slightly ... read more
Revival shows Selena Gomez trying to step into more mature, personal territory. While the album feels more deliberate than Stars Dance, the music still doesn’t always land emotionally, and a lot of the songs blend into generic pop ballads without identity. It is also no secret that she can’t sing, which doesn’t help this album out. Overall, another basic slop album from Selena.
On her debut album Selena is trying to grow past her Disney‑era pop, but it still comes off as generic and dated. The over polished production sometimes buries her voice rather than showcasing it. Most of the album is forgettable filler that is overly reliant on trends. Overall, it’s a frustratingly basic electropop album from Selena Gomez.
Not much substance and boring. Hilary’s vocals aren’t great and the production is off. There are some decent melodies and some of the songs are an easy listen, but it doesn’t feel personal which is a big problem when that’s what seems they were trying to make that the main appeal of this.
How is this decently rated on here? This is such a slog to get through. It is so ironic that this guy’s most viewed video on YouTube is making fun of someone else for not being able to sing when his singing is garbage on here. When this album isn’t busy having horrible vocals and embarrassing lyrics, it is extremely boring. The only thing saving this from a red score is a few tracks with some decent production.
