I think this is easily Zombie’s best and most consistent work thus far. Unlike most of Zombie’s records from the past decade that either sound like Rob and the band all did acid, watched The Attack of the 50 Foot Woman, and then decided to make a record during that, “The Great Satan” actually seems to have some kind of concept behind the songs. I think it’s easily his best since Sign O’ The Times. So many songs stand out on this album even in comparison to the already phenomenal Diamonds and Pearls, I will admit this album’s opener is a little goofy but it ain’t bad.
It cannot be understated how much of a genius Prince was, his musical talent was off the chart, and the way he genre-bent so easily and frequently on this album alone is astounding.
