Arguably weef's best project. Some of the hardest production he's ever hopped on companied by his hardest flows ever. 7 years later and this thing still holds up. One of the most underrated and underappreciated tapes to come out of the entire SoundCloud era.
BEST TRACKS: Tic Tac, ItTakes2ToTango, Centerfold, JoeBuddenProbablyThinksICantRap, 1st Day Out, DisDaHateSongBby (why is it rated so low its literally top 3 on this tape)
WORST TRACK: Wya? Remix (ugly gods verse isnt mixed + he ... read more
There are just as many great qualities as there are terrible qualities. You can hear the potential weef has on many of these songs but a lot of it is drowned out by bad mixing, lazy writing, and boring features. Still, wifi stands out from a lot of his contemporaries at the time.
BEST TRACKS: Highway To Hell, Grim, Yellow, Life After Death, Trap Spot
WORST TRACKS: Love The Feeling, It Don't Matter (the beat pisses me off and wifi sounds asthmatic)
This shit is dense and personal. Off first listen there are no bad or mid tracks. Production is A1 and the features are perfectly placed.
One of the most unhinged, hyper-aggressive, and VIOLENT experimental rap albums I've ever heard. Imagine if JPEGMAFIA made Veteran locked in his room for weeks on end, eating 15 Benadryl every hour and tried fucking around on Ableton. This tape continues to boggle my mind to this day. This is arguably Sybyr's best (& most popular) album yet, one of his least accessable. Some of his best songs EVER are on here. The transitions from one song to the next are abrupt yet seemless. ... read more
The guy that said this is Whole Lotta Red for white people ain't wrong. This is a staple of the Soundcloud era and even more specifically the Emo Rap era. There are absolute bangers on this thing and there are songs that I skip so fuckin' fast it'd make your head spin. Besides the bad songs on this thing, you can't deny the boundaries this tape pushed. Some of it has aged like fine wine, some of it's aged like a corpse.
Best Songs: drive by (2016 Version), the song ... read more
In my opinion, this is Peep's best body of work (albums, mixtapes, EPs,, all of it), This is some of the most creative, psychedelic, and emotional production he's ever recorded vocals over. There's something with this EP that no other Peep project sounds like. There's a weird emotional pallet here that I can only make parallels to Star Shopping or maybe Live Forever (mixtape). Peep isn't saying anything particularly profound here but I feel like that only adds to the ... read more
I feel like HellHorse - Sybyr is a much more essential project to the Trap Metal subgenre than Anti-World. It's hard for me to view this album as just a "Trap Metal" album because Sybyr really shows range on this thing. Yes, they're are angry, dark, heavy songs here but there's also melancholic songs, triumphant sounding songs, and songs with just generally weird emotional pallets. If your looking to learn about and/or experience the explosive underground hip-hop scene ... read more
While I can't help but feel like Corbin plays it a lil safe on this thing, for the most part it's a relatively solid addition to the dying Emo Rap subgenre.
Best Songs: Diazepam, Cry Myself To Sleep,
Worst Songs: Foul Taste
One of the most underrated tapes from the initial 2016-2018 mainstream SoundCloud rap wave. I doubt Purpp will ever end up topping this as his best project.
Overhated. Some of Yeat's best material here tbh
EDIT: This thing's almost two years old and its aged relatively well. The older this album gets + the more I relisten to it, I've realized just how weird these songs are. Some of Yeat's weirdest, most out-there vocal inflections & bars are on AfterLyfe. I understand this isn't for everyone but I don't get why even die hard Yeat fans don't like this album. Really his most unique project behind 2093. If only ... read more
Some of Gunna's best songs end up here. It's too bad this album is such a mixed bag.
One of Trippie's best and one of the best Rage albums EVER. Yes, ever. The fuck? This album is wayyy over-hated cmon.
