This is a stunning blues rock album that dignifies the genre.

This is a work of art from any religion´s god you´ll see this year. This album and this artist should exist to remind us how big music can be, how strong someone is to blow what burns inside his soul. Everyone should carry "God is Not a Terrorist" in his pocket or tattoed in his heart.

Axel Willner's most accessible work as The Field and, ironically, his best. Gorgeous and implacable.

Definitely her best effort. The boldest moments are her intimate beautiful ballads.

One of the best singer-songwriters living on american soil, Laura Veirs increases more elements on her latest effort and certifies her career as one of the most promising and long running of all folk music in the world.

This is an inspired document of finding the boundaries of love in partnership and nothing else. It´s where love insists on survive.

It´s her best album yet. And hymns like "Screwed", "Make Me Feel" and "Americans" show she owns the crown by being a songwriter who knows how to sing in the most comfortable way without saying what most of us already know.

Confident Music for Confident People could be recognise as the best of what the poppiest of pop could offer. The album indeed represents this limit (if there is one): dry beats, huge danceable shoots; two creatures that carry the idiossincratic difference between virility and feminine, silly but ok (and even ironic sometimes) lyrics, impecable production, nothing new or original and, in the end, not to be taken seriously. The second proper album of this party duo will exist just to define what ... read more

I always liked when the band kept driving to reflexive roads. And i found myself lucky to listen to this album for the first time on a sunny sunday morning when i considered myself able to understand their path. The melodies are nuanced with little fragments of dissonance and a clever way to build them in a lyrical harmony. And yet simple. It´s their fifteenth regular album and it sounds fresh and classic.

Beautiful melodies, great songwriting and a singular use of a singular voice make "Freedom" the most endearing listening of the year so far.

I still don´t get why Will Toledo is so overrated. He is doubtless a good songwriter but he insists in maintain an emo vibe that captures him in a way that he doesn´t cross the line, that one that separates what is originally grandious from some mediocre stuff full of ideas. Twin Fantasy has both sides. And we can´t disconsider it´s an album with rearrengements from old ideas and not a bold statement with the new ones.

Along each record that Kieran Hebden releases under his Four Tet project, he keeps getting better. "New Energy" is something unique both in his catalogue as in electronic music as a whole.

"Avec le soleil..." had to dismember three songs in ten to create beautiful progressive noise rock that transcend all other types of inspiration they may had to think "Pas pire pop..." and make it calculusly original. It´s the smartest thing on this record. One more great achievement to fulfill a rich but grey 2017.

The record do its job by keeping the group´s aura no matter how they think they could sound like. But in one way or another the risks emerge: without those brilliant guitar tunes that shackles our muscles and have made some of their other albums instant rock n´ roll classics, "Paper Mâché Dream Balloon" sounds... slack.

In "Mister Mellow", Greene´s voice is in a lower and darker form and becomes beautifully lost in the electronic details spread all over the place. And this is what makes it a singular pop album, that is different to any other formulaic chillwave albums out there and still pleeds repeated listens.

Rocket is like a story told by a man who sees the world and life as a mixture of everything he has experienced until now. And he is just 24 years old! I hope he keeps let us join him in his journey as days go by.

"I kinda agree a little bit with you. It´s more of the same. I never understood why she´s so super overrated. But, come on! At least Jack White did it, didn´t he?"
On David Bowie - Tonight
"I Know that. And i ask myself all the time why it changed me. It´s not the best album he´s ever done, not even close, and i´m not really a big fan of his music only. "Tonight" is the kind of thing that hits you in a real moment. Easy, silly but lovely catchy. And that is exactly what Bowie always was until a few days ago."
