These instrumentals are fucking unprecedented. The title track had me moving like I was possessed the groove was so good.
You simply can't find something like this anywhere else; and for the bands last "big sound" album, it pays homage to its roots (like STFTB and the trilogy albums) and its a joy to experience. Specifically if you enjoyed Live Rope, and The Glowing Man, you'll find a lot to love about this album. Especially the sheer amount of groove and noise. The last song (rope) away has probably one of the best instrumentals the band has every done. Its shimmering, numbing, and emotional. Overall, a beautiful and heartbreaking send off. The opening track is also one of if not their best opener ever.
When I get the time I'll go more in depth on each song but for now this is what I had to say about it on my first listen.
