Rating 100 out of sheer sentimentality. It's not objectively perfect, but I have not been able to stop listening to this set every day for the past couple of months. There is so much charm in the slight vocal imperfections, and so much bittersweet nostalgia churned up by a lot of their lyrics. Perfect shit to have on in the background as you sweat your ass off in your overpriced apartment but also to pay full attention to and scream the lyrics of as you bike home from your Summer job. Studied to this album all day yesterday, can't wait to watch the movie soon. Alex G don't miss.
I don't see how you could dislike this song. Baby Keem drops the verse of the year, and then Kendrick drops his first verse back after a 2-3 year hiatus. Every line is insane by the both of them, and they are rapped over four separate beats. All in all this is single of the year easily.
Also the music video for this has me thinking is definitely part of Kendricks album rollout.
agree with all the praise but you can't even hear what kray is rapping. compared to what he was doing on ice cream & mac 10s and on Crack clouds this is mid
This really grew on me. Excellent intro and closing tracks, an uptempo track with "Methods" and a some introspective verses with incredible flow on "Life We Live" and "Thousand Miles". Breakout album is on the way for sure.
Love Nudy but every single beat is exactly the same. No interesting hooks except for Bodies on Bodies. Definitely Nudy's worst project.
Cherry Bomb remade, after Tyler has matured as a rapper, producer, and person.
came for mach, stayed for westside gunn. love griselda but i feel like mach hommy doesn't command attention in the same way benny gunn or conway do. hopefully this grows on me... taxi driver sample was so hard tho
As the title was meant to intend, Paris Texas are still finding their footing. I think they have potential to really blow up one day. They have fun one liners, unique beats, and the chemistry between the two is undeniable. Unfortunately, I think the two singles that also serve as the LP's last two tracks are the best thing about BOY ANONYMOUS. Definitely check out HEAVY METAL and FORCE OF HABIT.
At first i was thinking it was kinda formulaic but by the end im realizing it's more just unfinished sounding. Don't really even think there was a single catchy hook on the whole thing. Most of the beats sound kinda the same. Nevertheless some incredible bars and memorable verses from cole. Let go my hand is one of the best cole tracks ever, but again after the incredible first verse it sounds a little slapped together.
walking a fine line of absolute garbage and amazing cloud rap in the best way possible. iced out castles is one of the best songs ive ever heard.
This is one of, if not the most, unique albums I've heard in a year or two. Steve Lacy, Death Grips, Igor, Daft Punk, Slowthai, and like maybe even fucking Sheck Wes meshed all into one record for a listening experience unlike any other. Every song is filled with so many twists and turns. The songwriting and range of vocal deliveries Owusu gives are also both just insane. I don't even know what I just listened to.
HAD YOUR BITCH AT THE TRAVEL LODGEEEEEE
I almost threw up my taco bell last night at 2am listening to this man rap "On a speedboat while I'm Joseph in a technicolor dream coat". I really hope Chris Crack blows up somehow. He is at peak form with "Might Delete Later". Literally just bar after bar after bar coming though.
Uno deserves the same attention his peers got, this is awesome. Mixing was bad on paraphernalia and capped out, but every other song is so hard. Dark synth vibes as others have mentioned match his flows so well- AOTY until Lucki drops
Definitely did not entirely live up to the hype. But WLR is so unique this shit is awesome. People wanted a die lit 2 and because of leakers Carti scrapped that (but still left neon and place) and went a whole different direction and came into his own sound with artdealer. And the dehydrated what adlib goes so hard. I think maybe one or two of these tracks coulda been replaced with the older leaks though, but overall I think people will hate on this and gradually change their minds.

Welp. I like seeing what Lean is working on, but this isn't doing much for me. There's some interesting production which features quite a bit of acoustic guitar paired with Lean's echoey cloud rap sound, but a lot of the singing is really un-palatable, coming from someone who typically doesn't mind his voice. Idk.
