YG’s trap-infused take on west coast hip-hop and G-funk on Still Brazy is quite fascinating. Not just sonically, but the flair the Compton rapper brings on with his amazing flow and lyricism, as well as the loose narrative that goes along with this record, is staggering and makes for a very captivating blast from the past. Songs like Twist My Fingaz, She Wish She Was and the Drake assisted Why You Always Hatin? display such nostalgic sounds with a modernised twist on it, making for an extremely enjoyable rap album that has excessive replay value.
